I think I found this (.... Kickers') video while clicking around at YT.
I'm going to try more finesse with my next wick and see if I can get results closer to this.

Thanks for sharing this!
I have to try it.
I just got subox mini, and an extra sub tank mini with the old style RBA deck like he used. I'm new to RBA's and have burned my fair share of cotton.

So how many watts do you vape your "new" RBA at?

I prefer a cooler vape so I rarely go above 20W. However, when I first got the Subox, I spent ~2 minutes wicking the .5 ohm pre-installed RBA coil, loaded up some max VG and chain-vaped it at 25W without any problems. The big reason the .... Kickers wicking method isn't necessary (or may not even work) is because the design of new RBA. It does not have any juice channels at the bottom of the deck, but instead large holes on the sides of the RBA sleeve that need to be covered with cotton. I followed this video to wick the new RBA, as have others on this thread and I haven't heard of any problems.

Hello guys , I was out for a couple of days due to violations but am I the only one who thinks the airflow on the the new subtank is worse than the original mini , everything else is OK , the RBAs performs alright and I love the battery because it is smaller than my istick .

Yes, I would agree. I think it's a little tighter than the original ST. It looks like there is an extra inner sleeve in the new ST AFC, where the original ST AFC is wide open.

Mine has way better airflow but my old mini has the old style airflow with only one opening. It seems about the same as my plus that has the newer dual air flow.

Has anyone had trouble with other heads on the box? I tried an Atlantis .3 and a Nautilus 1.8 and neither of them would fire, got the Ohms flashing 9.9. Have they made this a Kanger only device or am I missing something.

Oddly enough I haven't tried any other tanks on it yet. I will when I get home this afternoon and let you know.

Ok, I just got mine, but I think I might have gotten the wrong battery... It takes an 18650 battery, but its giving a noise that doesn't seem right.
I got a 18650 2500mAh 3.7V. Is this the wrong battery (if it is what should it be running)?

A Noise?

What Make/Model of 18650 Battery do you have? Do you have a Link to the Battery you go your Battery?

Those specs sounds right, what kind of battery is it? What noise is it making? Mine runs silent.

It reads my Arctic tank but won't fire it at .2
Mine works fine with a Nautilus at 1.8

My Nautilus bases' pins got sticky.
I removed & washed the contact pin/spring/grommet and lubed them with VG before reinstalling them.
No problems since.
Try that then screw the coil into the base tightly before putting it on your PV so the pin can extend fully.

Samsung 25R 18650 2500mAh INR Flat-Top Battery - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

The noise is a higher pitch electric hum. Not sure how to explain it.

There Shouldn't be any Problems with that Battery. It is a Pretty Standard Length and Chemistry.

I can't say for sure for you situation, but I have Heard electronic devices "Hum" at a Very High Frequency. But this usually Only happens when they are being Charged.

As a Precaution, I would Contact the Retailer you got your Kit from Immediately. Because some Retailers have Return/Exhange clauses that say they have to be Notified within 3 ~ 5 Days of receiving a DOA or Defective item.

I gotta say Im loving the new heads...havent tried the stock coils yet but I did a build in the RBA and I mean the flavor is as good as dripping. I mean this wick is staying saturated at 40 watts even with like 7 second pulls, and no leaking whatsoever. I can leave this thing turned upside down and it wont leak. Im gonna try and find another one of the new rba heads to put in my subtank, this thing is awesome. Good job Kanger!
