While we are on the discussion of battery life... Does anyone know how long the battery should take to fully charge using the micro USB port? I read around somewhere in this thread that it is more efficient to use an actual battery charger, but I don't have one at the moment. Thanks.
I decided to experiment with USB charging the 'Box. Normally use my xtar set at 250mAh. I was a bit concerned with the fact that when done charging, the batt tested @ 4.25 volts. (a little high for my liking) The xtar end voltage is 4.20 v. While The USB will do in a pinch, think I'll stick to external charging.

Haha, didn't even notice VSS's stock on 1.2's and 1.5's when I posted that. It was vice versa last week.

Yeah, I had a out-of-stock alert setup, but it wasn't for each size. So I had to keep checking manually. I ordered some 1.2 ohm as it's my go-to coil size for flavor.

Maybe I worded that incorrectly. I only have one black STM to use between my TC SX Mini and my (obviously) non TC Kbox mini. It's a PITA to swich out coils to use between the two mods. So, I ordered another STM in black. Problem solved!

No, it's my failing eyesight. You did say you were using it on your TC SX Mini.

No worries :)

Speaking of failing eyesight, and tying in to the windshield buildup posts...
It prompted me to comment on my findings regarding vaping with contact lenses. I thought my vision was going downhill fast until I made the association with the two. Has anyone out there experienced contact lens interference from vaping? (especially high VG cloud chucking)

I need to get off the sub ohm tip and give one a go. What PG/VG and wattage do you zero in on?

Even though the coils can handle max VG, I prefer 70VG/30PG if it's available. I like a cooler vape, so it's usually between 15W - 20W, depending on the type of juice, with the ultimate goal of max flavor.

I am not a Kanger box mod fan just because imo they have very very little mod building experience under their belt compared to mods with proven long lasting micro chips.

Lots of "bling" and matching colors doesn't do anything for me but i know means everything to some people . On that note i wanted to post the below , i'm sure if your a sub box fan you already are very aware of this but in case your not.

Taste Your Juice | THIS JUST IN FROM KANGER…
It is possible to build on the experience and knowledge of other manufacturers in the mod production game. It isn't as if they are going in blind.

I'm not really sure that being new to the box mod game necessarily equates to a shoddy product. Guess time will tell that story. So far as "bling" is concerned, there is nothing wrong with a person finding some pleasure in aesthetic. Whether it means everything to them or not.

Thank you for your input, @herb. But why exactly would you negatively comment on a product that you have no interest in or experience with? (in a thread dedicated to enthusiasts) Lol

I didn't say the device is a piece of crap , i said i would personally consider other more proven mods if i was considering buying a new mod .

A lot of newbies have no clue about a manufacturers experience in mod making and most want the longest lasting mod for the money they can get , at least thats what i hear .

The only other manufacturer that has as little experience in making mods as Kangertech is Cloupor (Cloupor actually has quite a few more now) but they were just producing tanks (like Kangertech) but when they entered the mod game they were terrible and they still get criticized for their mods (internals and chip quality) to this day .

I have always told it straight and most of the time what i say is not popular at all but it is always the truth , pointing out that Kanger is very inexperienced in mod building is the truth . It does not mean they are incapable of building quality mods , time will tell but if a newbie was wanting something known to be reliable and proven because they only had so much money to spend i would recommend they go with something with a YiHi chipset .

Nothing i said is inaccurate , unpopular sure but some people like in your face honesty. Sorry if you feel differently and i hope the sub box proves to be a winner , i would love to be proved wrong , we will see.

I guess what bugged me personally was that you made your statements with such authority, as if you knew something we didn't. Your opinion (and really, that's what it is) doesn't necessarily make it fact. Kanger's been around for a really long time - guess maybe if you've been around as long as we have, you'd know how reliable their products are, and how they've consistently tweaked their stuff based on our feedback. :2c: KBox, though severely limited, did quite well, from what I've heard (unlike some of the things I've been hearing about Cloupor's stuff since they started coming out with mods). That's why I'm keeping my eye on this one.

Just a short:offtopic:post for a PSA. For those of you that may not spend much time in the advocacy section of ECF, please visit the announcement (and trailer) for the vaping documentary "A Billion Lives". This documentary (currently being filmed) is being financed by Attention Era Media and directed by Aaron Biebert, and is not related to any previous documentary projects. They have the money and resources to make the film, but don't have a large marketing budget. So what they really need is publicity. We can all help by getting the word out on the social media of your choice. The more people know about it, the more the demand, and the more theaters that will want to show it. Please do what you can to spread the word. It's an important documentary that will help us all, by fighting back all of the propaganda being spewed by public health organizations and governments.

Thank you for your time. Now back to your regularly scheduled programing, the Kanger Subox thread.

Here it was 4.212V with no load as measured with Agilent instrument right after the Subox flashed the display and declared the charge complete.

Did you charge the battery inside or outside of the mod? How did the Subox mod declare "charge complete"? Were those words in the OLED?
