Well, I think I can get in the spirit of things here. For tonight only....I reveal myself unto those who vape.

Maybe try starting at 15 watts and tweak it from there (with either head)...that's about where the 1.2 on your eGo one is. You can't rely solely on the numbers though, because they're two different mods that probably differ in accuracy and how they handle power. But if you start at 15 and play around with it from there, you should be able to match them up pretty closely.Hello!
I asked this earlier today in the general vaping forum and haven't gotten any response so I thought this might be a better place to ask this question;
I just bought the Kanger sub box mini and LOVE it. I have only been using the 1.2 coils. My normal nicotine strength is 12 mg.
I am coming from having using the joy tech Ego one. I had tried the .5 coil on that once. I absolutely detested it. The vape was so hot. And it just was difficult( even with a 3 mg strength which is what someone suggested)
When I was in the vape store yesterday, someone said try this:
They gave me a sub tank nano with some juice in at and the .5 coil And I 'think ' 3 mg, and I tried it on my kanger sub box mini and I loved it.
It was not that different from my normal vape being on a 1.2 could ..but the flavor was absolutely amazing.
And… It 'seemed 'as if I was able to do my normal mouth to lung hit.
Problem is I don't remember what wattage they had set the subox.on.
My question is this:
Is my experience with this because when I had previously tried it on my ego one the temperature was just too high and such a hot vape, as it can only fire at 4.2 V and can't be changed?
And also it seemed like the vapor was goung right into my lungs with the ego one, and I could not change that. While doing it on the joy tech, it was terrific..was extremely pleasant.. and it seemed like my normal mouth to lung..
Many thanks for your help..

...I think that will work with the 0.5. Does anyone know if the KBox Mini steps down? That works out to 2.8V, way below the battery's lower limit.
...but then I suck at math, so...![]()

Steam Engine!Yes, the KBox Mini does step down. That's one of the great features of this mod (and many others), you set the power you want (watts) and the electronics in the mod takes care of adjusting it to the correct voltage, based on the ohm level of the coil, even if it less than the current voltage of the battery.
Even if math is not your thing, there's a handy on-line ohms law calculator at Steam Engine.
I use Vaporcalc for android.Steam Engine!![]()
Actually I double-checked my numbers in Steam Engine, but I never know if I'm inputting stuff right, so I do rough calcs to make sure.
Stepdown. Awesome!
I've been using the wrong tab in Steam Engine all this time! Yay, no more math!![]()

I'm also confused about the newest Kanger Kbox, the new Nano. Not interested in the two colors offered, but am curious if the battery section is the same size as the black Kbox Mini, or smaller? For the most part I like Kanger, they just seem to get a bit ahead of themselves.
I haven't seen much info about the subox nano kit, just the photo that surfaced a while ago. But the kbox in that kit is described as the kbox nano, and if I look at it closely then I see the device curving outwards in the area where the 18650 battery goes. Since the device seems flush with the tank, I would conclude that they've made the tank side of the kbox nano thinner, but overall there aren't that many dimensions they can shrink.

LOl, I guess what happens in ECF stays in ECF.What's seen cannot be unseen....
I think the vertical coil was released to maximize airflow and compensate for the extra wattage vapers are using. If you like a vertical build your best bet is going to be to use the rba. I have a tut a few pages back. I still haven't seen a successful rebuild of the vertical occ.@OcalaFlGuy have you taken apart the new vertical OCC yet, and or rebuilt one? I just got to a point with my 1st .5 coil that it spits horribly. I can burn some of it off with a quick dry fire (firing without pulling) but it ends up spitting at me. It is time for me to tear down and build back up, if able. Anyone else have insight for a rebuild? Did kanger purposely redesign them to make it harder to rebuild (my assumption as it just seems harder on 1st glance)?
Unless you are me. Then it is all over ECF, ECR, and YouTube.LOl, I guess what happens in ECF stays in ECF.![]()
