I tried that method on my first rewick of my 2nd Ti build. Working fine, but next time I will follow the video more closely as they seem to use more cotton then I did, it looks really tight. I also cut too close to the outside rba shell where it sticks out the holes. I will leave more next and fan it out.

Mine don't normally stick out that far and I do work it back and forth a few times before seating the chimney.

After all those complicated methods over months and months, it's hard to believe something this simple continues to work so well. Cuts wicking time down to a just a few minutes. No dry hits, no flooding, consistent performance every time. It's the only way I wick now, except for my nickel builds, still using organic cotton balls to keep the fragile coil in tact and the cotton fluffy. This video reminded me of the Gary Lee video wicking the RBA mini V1. Short, to the point, simple and just works. Tried to thank the author, but couldn't find a contact. I'm glad it's working for you.

It's still alive and kickin. Ugly arsed daily driver. FT Bell tank, FT drip tip, and eBay sleeve. rba running a 32/26 Clapton at .5 ohms and a whopping 12 watts.

I have seen a couple of posts from people that it has happened to.
Although the jury may still be out if they were originals or copies.
Either way, I don't trust paint in my tank.

That being said, the unpainted Kanger Sub Mini's are excellent tanks.

Are they suitable for MTL vaping? I've seen differing opinions, but I really like the design of the building deck.

And what happened to that improved Kbox mini with adjustable pin that was supposed to be available in July?

I believe they abandoned us and that project for the NEBOX. They've made their money from the Subbox mini and with as fast as the market moves they moved on with TC and an integral tank.

I guess Kanger has been working on this instead of just adding a darn spring loaded 510 to the kbox mini.

I'll give it to em, that looks pretty good. Chimney height of 10 foot? I honestly, probably won't buy anymore Kanger products unless they have without a doubt fixed their chip issues.
