Not sure what the deal is... one atty tastes fine, but the other one kinda hurts the throat, leaves a gross taste in my mouth and just doesn't seem to be performing as well as the other one.

Would you say the first step is to soak it in some alcohol? Is Isopropyl Alcohol ok to use? I don't want to strip the paint off or anything....

I dont know anything about your model of PV.

Did the bad one work okay at first, then get funky later?

Is this model a 2 or 3 piece (cart, atty, battery)?

There may be a piece of the wadding from the cart that got traped down into the heating element of the atty and is burning.
This has happened to me w/ my 510 and is one more reason to pull that white stuff out of your cart and use blue foam.

Right from the start it tasted bad/funky... kinda like plastic... at first I was only dripping, so I don't think anything got burnt or anything like that.

I'm just going to clean it and see if that helps, but before I do I just want to make sure soaking it in alcohol isn't going to strip the graphics or paint. Anyone know?

Got a new atty today, it tastes fine as well. Just the one that tastes like burning plastic. Does that mean it's defective?

oh, i just connected it to my manual battery and did a dry run without the cart attached, the smoke smells like burning paper. its not completely dry either because it was sitting in a newly filled cart.

I had the same issue. I read and it seems as though alot of issues and solution are available for you. I boiled(no cost) my attys in water for 2mins and used compressed air to dry and it got rid of the metallic taste I was having with mine. Simple, fast, cheap... go for it!

When all else fails and the tears begin
Your atty tastes like you're licking a bin
Your vape is crap and the flavor is weak
Your patience is gone and your starting to peak
Try one last thing before loosing the plot
You have nothing to loose so give it a shot

Rip the wick from the little .....
and have one last try before givin it the flick
You may be surprised that it works like a charm
And if it doesn't you've done no harm
Some will tell you you can only then drip
But my carts work at treat without ever a slip!!
