New Law in Queensland Australia E-Cigs banned where smoking is banned

*sigh* I just read an article on Queensland Smoking Legislation and as from January 2015, E-Cigs will be banned wherever smoking is banned. So Vapors will have to go wherever smokers go to get a quick vape if out in public. Very disappointed that we are still being shunned by society even though we are improving our health and those around us. Is it as strict where you are? I am also going to ask this same question in the general forums but I would love volters feedback also.

Yes, I have found this to be a trend here in the states as well. There are signs up in some places that mention "No electronic cigarettes" right under the No Smoking portion of the sign. Guess they want to make sure their message gets across. Pity they don't understand what vaping is all about.

I'm not saying I agree with these laws but I can understand where they are coming from and I can't be mad about it. Even I get irritated when I am talking to someone and I end up with a cloud of vapor in my face. When I am vaping around other people I make it a point to direct my exhale away from people and either way up or way down as to not bother anyone. I would hate to be eating dinner at a restaurant and have a cinnamon scented cloud hanging over my steak. That being said it is also irritating when people are allowed to make laws on a subject that they are VERY uneducated in.

Valid points! I am always discrete smoking or vaping. Nicotine is also now illegal to possess here as well now I feel like a criminal smuggling it in from overseas lol.
