Yes, of course, to us. There are certainly plenty of people that think banning vaping is a big deal, and there are many that loath the idea of gun control. I am not promoting guns, though, I am talking more broadly about freedoms being lost, one by one. I just don't think we get to pick and choose--either we want a police state or we don't. If we ask government to solve all of problems, they will certainly take us up on that offer. I don't think many of us will like the result. I, personally, would rather put up with the difficulties of a free state.
I am just sick of hearing on the news all the time about shootings it's getting out of hand. It's worrying going abroad because of all these attacks. I want to enjoy life and not have to worry about walking out my front door and getting shot.

yes you are allowed to continue to kill yourself with cigarette's while driving..really stupid in my opinion. its like they were bored and just threw a dart on the board on what to do with their time.
The dart throw concept is not so far from the truth as you may think. Most of the best minds go with the private sector.;)

Yes, me too. I just don't think an authoritarian state is the way to go, and it bothers me that so many are begging for it.

I was waiting in the airport to go on holiday when the tunisia attack happened. I suddenly got loads of messages coming through about what had happened. We both were so worried on our flight and even on holiday. Such a tragic event

There is far to much crime over here to what there used to be. This country is to soft and let people get away with to much

I think addressing the psychology underlying crime would yield far better results than continuing to look only at the tools used during criminal acts. The softness and leniency of the country is not the cause of the crime--it's something else.

Yes, and they learned a few very hard lessons within the past century!

    Czech Republic GUN LAWS.

This is true. This is why they can appreciate a hands off form of government and not over regulate things to death. They understand what it is like not to be free and don't want to go back to oppression again. Sadly, we are headed in the direction they fought a revolution to free themselves from...

Big difference between vaping and firearms lol

Proper use, understanding, and training. Never once came close to injuring a single person.
10 yrs. hunting and never left an animal suffering. NO Trophy hunting.
Camera is my preference and choice these days.

Firearms are not dangerous. People are. Ban People!

Better yet, how 'bout THIS, THIS and a lil' of THIS!

Oh, ya silly wabbit, how 'bout a lil' HISTORY...

    Ta ta... <click>
So you believe they meant every form of projectile weapon utilizing gunpowder? When at the time rapid fire was maybe 2 or 3 shots a minute?

Did you know you are still able to own and operate firearms in Australia, just not the ones specifically designed for killing and wounding as many people as possible as fast as possible....Right tool for the right job

    Unreasonable fear.

In the US you have a 1 in 30,000 chance of being killed by a gun.

    To put this in perspective....

You have a 1 in 17,000 chance of dying as a passenger in a car accident.
You have a 1 in 16,700 chance of dying by poisoning

So you're nearly twice as likely to be killed while being a passenger in a car or by poisoning than you do being shot and killed in the US.

And here's a fun little statistic for you to mull over....

The US population is 5 times larger than the UK, yet every year twice as many Brits die from alcohol than Americans die from guns. That means drinking alcohol in the UK is more than 10 times more likely to kill you than guns are in the US.
