i got a feeling this is their way to get people to go back to smoking cigarettes to continue to get their tax dollars since they dont have any sort of tax on e-cigs..a pack of cigs right now cost around $25-$28 a pack here
Holy Moses. That's quite expensive.

@sofarsogood I am sorry to hear this. I can see dripping and driving being banned, but tank/sqonk/Cigalike vaping seems much safer to me than smoking a stink log and driving. Granted you have the potential of eyes off the road to change watts/voltage (and some of the newer reg mods are like phones with their larger screens and Bluetooth capabilities), but dang! My most important vape sessions happen in my car to and from work. I'm scared it's only a matter of time before a similar law will be implemented here in the states. I'm sure there will be a rise in stealth vaping and most certainly vaping while driving tickets.
--jail door closes, inmates conversing with one another. Kid asks Jimbo, "hey man what are you in for?". Jimbo says, "I'm innocent, but they accusin me of burglary and grand theft. They ain't got nothin on me!" Kid shakes his head. Jimbo asks the kid, "what you here for?" Kid looks down and says, "this is my third time getting caught mod whomping in my car!" Jimbo's eyes light up and he laughs, "damn kid, you musta whomped this guy mod pretty good. You a bad ...!" -- if you only knew, Jimbo ;)

so today australia passed a law that bans e-cigs from being sold to anyone under 18 which im all for..but they also passed a law that comes into effect on december 1st 2015 that bans any use of vaping in cars..which i say is BS..why cant we vape but people can smoke cigarettes? its amazing they crack down on this from a country where the legal drinking age is 18 and you can even have open bottles of alcohol in the car as long has your not drinking it while driving

You didn't read up on this, did you?

Firstly, it only applies to cars with children present. This aligns with smoking in cars with kids and is legislation being enacted all over the world.

Secondly, it's provincial legislation. Much like state level legislation in the US.

Please secure the facts before posting a panicked meltdown.

i never said we should vape next to minors, if you read the article i post in the third post you will see if just says on december 1st no one is allowed to smoke in cars there was no mention of not being to vape in cars around minors..

I vape in my car with my minor child in it. I think it is an overreach of personal privacy myself.

Almost all these threads are like this. Smoking is banned in... When the reality is smoking is not allowed where smoking is prohibited...

Ummmm...............Vaping, maybe

Maybe you do have issues with Vapers:confused:

You missed the point nearly all these types of threads are exaggerations or factually incorrect. The title Australia bans vaping in cars would imply smoking has actually been banned in cars, not merely prohibited in vehicles where children under 16 are present...

Brought to you by the same country that disarmed their citizens!

Sorry, Australia used to be my first fav country due to it's freedoms... not so much any more.

Wha... you're anti-gun (not directed to da OP, but those that are)? But yet want freedom/protection to vape? I sadly chuckle...
Link me to the last 5 mass shooting that happened in Australia since the ban on guns

All of you folks on your high horse saying i panicked obviously did not read the link i posted because no where in there does it mention about minors being in cars with you it just says vaping is not allowed in cars..in 2nd article the gentlemen posted it does go into more detail..had you taken the minute to read both articles you would have knowin this..but than again it is easier to light torchs and storm the castle when you see one person do it than it is to read on your own and make your own decisions so again the original article does not anywhere state a age group it just says no vaping in cars..

Hmmm, interesting line of reasoning, this. Makes me think that if the government takes away even more freedom, then crime will be even further reduced.

Big difference between vaping and firearms lol

Yes, of course, to us. There are certainly plenty of people that think banning vaping is a big deal, and there are many that loath the idea of gun control. I am not promoting guns, though, I am talking more broadly about freedoms being lost, one by one. I just don't think we get to pick and choose--either we want a police state or we don't. If we ask government to solve all of problems, they will certainly take us up on that offer. I don't think many of us will like the result. I, personally, would rather put up with the difficulties of a free state.
