Looking great so far...have to say the site is running much faster on my mobile connection where there used to be long delays on requests. Awesome!

so much for old posts and heaven forbid anyone try to change a signature....frustration has set in.

Well, how are they going to know what to fix if we don't mention things or complain? Anyway, I show no subscriptions, I don't see a "My Posts" link, and doing a search for posts I made doesn't come up with anything.
So, why the change anyway? This is very frustrating, and not just because it's a new layout to get used to, a lot of functionality is gone. Where I'm from there is a saying, "If it aint broke, don't fix it"

It's because all of that stuff was customized into the old version. We will have to do the same with this version, as well.
Let's put it this way... would you rather we took the forum down for a few days, or at least give people the option to post while we tweak things?

This is just the default template. We'll be going back to the ECF one or something very like it, soon.
Nothing works right now because there are no plugins yet, the plugins do the various jobs. For the time being the forum will be a 'bare bones' affair. In a couple of days it should be mostly back up but it will take a week or so to fix everything. This was a major forum upgrade and some of the stuff that ran on the old forum doesn't work on this - so we have to find solutions / fixes / kludges.
Just relax and wait for us to get it all back up...

thanks for the heads up royalgate, and the belly laugh AngusATAT... makes it easier to be patient if we know it's going to be similar to what we were used to. CHEERS!
I have a feeling its gonna be great when its all done. Hell, it already seems better despite the initial frustrations being reported. IMO, better to have it up as it is and deal with the incompleteness than having it down entirely.

What we have now is a frustration. I'd rather it was shut down and all the "tweaks" done. It's very difficult/tedious /confusing to try and navigate it. That about a quater's worth.

thanks for keeping the forum up and running- and for answering questions all over the forum while the upgrades are made. (It'd probably have been easier on y'all to shut it down for a couple of days. )
