Hi all, I'm new to vaping and only got my starter kit on Tuesday, so far so good. I just have a quick question:

How often should I clean C4 clearomiser?

After doing a lot of reading over the last 7 days I am very confused about the above, I have read that they should be cleaned maybe every couple of days but I have also read that most people will go through about 3ml of liquid a day so don't think I will need to clean it as much.

I am an ex 15 a day smoker and only used my Kit for 2 days I have used around 1.5ml of liquid, do you think washing clearomiser every times I have caped through 2 fills be sufficient?

Thanks you for any advice you can give :)

Hi and welcome to ECF. It partly depends on the juice. Heavy VG and/ or dark juices tend to clog the coil quicker. Washing cleans the tank and wick and dry burning cleans the coil (juice gunk forms on it). After dry burning rinse the ash from coil in warm water. I do not use a Q-Tip on the coil as it may dislodge it. If your juice starts tasting funky or you notice the juice in the tank going dark it's time to wash and dry burn.

I rinse and dry burn every 3 - 4 fill ups. As Vapoor eyes er said, it depends on the juice. I've had 'gunky' juices require a dry burn every second fill.

Some tips on dry burning:

Don't keep the power on long enough to get the coil past red hot. The coil will melt and it's toast.

Do dry burn thoroughly. It will not damage the clearomizer. If you let it get too gunked up it will become difficult to get clean. All coils need to glow.

Don't let it get too hot. If you can't comfortably touch it, it's too hot. Give it a little time to cool down before continuing.

Good luck with it :thumb:
