Hello there, my names Justin from the UK i have just started vaping not so long ago as a solution to quitting smoking.

Being a complete novice i have a few questions i'm unsure of.

My kit:- Ego-C twist, Kangertech Mini Protank 3 with a caramel vapor

With this kit i got a coil which lasted about a week the coil it came with was a 1.5 oHm and i had the battery set on around 3.8v

I went to the same shop to buy some new coils they supplied me with a Dual Coil Unit at 2.0 oHm the first couple of drags i could taste the caramel, but since then, nothing really at all, if i breath out through my nose it has a funny taste/smell, possibly burnt possibly not, not really sure exactly what it smells or tastes like when the coil has gone oh and it also makes a sound like when you finish a drink with a straw it kind of slurps.

I have tried looking around on the net i also watched a review the guy had his on 9v where i read on other areas of the internet the coil may be drowned or something, not really sure, but would really like i friendly helping hand if possible.

Thanks, Justin

I see, i did wonder this since the person on the video had 9v and i was considerably lower, is my coil going to be gone now? should i replace or do i need a battery with a higher voltage?

No, your battery and coil are fine. Just try turning it up a little bit at a time. 9v would be way too high on a MPT3.

When you said you get a slurping noise like through a straw that tells me you might be flooded. When it makes this noise, remove your tank and wrap a paper towel around the bottom of it, then blow through the drip tip . It will clean out the excess liquid and you will no longer get that slurping noise. Any time you hear that noise do this method. You will see the excess liquid be blown into the towel. Then you can vape without the sputtering. This works like a charm . Hope this helps. As for coils, yes some coils wear out faster than others. Any time your getting a burnt taste it's likely time to change out your coil. Best wishes

I'd also like to suggest using a gentler, longer draw technique while you vape.

Clearomizers use only a tiny silica string to wick juice to the coils. A harder draw will pull more juice through the wicks than the coils can adequately vaporize, so the excess juice has no where to go but in the air chamber. This results in the gurgling noise and either juice in your mouth or on the top of your battery. So slow down and do a gentler draw.
