That is awesome - congrats! Perhaps some day I'll pull the trigger. For some reason I feel compelled to play the game and get like 4 or 5 mods even though I know full well I'll end up with a Provari at the end of the day. :)

"I'm A Noob with a simple Ego-C Twist set up with Kanger MT3's, a cheap carto tank and a Vivi Nova and a TON of various eliquids.
And NO my avatar is not really a pic of me - I saw it and just HAD to use it. :)"

Thank God. I was gonna ask you who that creepy looking dude was that's stroking you because you didn't look too happy.

Ok now we gonna need to see some pics of the baby when it gets here...

Is it true it doesn't have variable wattage?
yes, this is true but it matters not to me

i went through like 30 mods searching for perfection. a provari was mixed into the middle of my buying and selling. went with reos for quite awhile and in the end back to provari with another provari for a backup...at least thats my reason to have 2 of them even though im sure 1 would be sufficient.

So I'm new to ecf. I have been reading the posts for the past 2 months since I started vaping but just joined. I wanted everyone to know that I just ordered my first provari tonight. You may ask why I am sharing this with all of you. Because I'm telling everyone WAKAWAKA!!!

I'm a noobie too! I've been lurking this site for 3 days now and ordered me a Provari mini today. I'm excited and scared all at the same time lol.... Hope I can figure all this out and be up and vaping soon :)!

Once you got your Provaris, you won't waste your hard earned cash on China junk any more!;) Congrats to you both.

Hi Falso,

Welcome to ECF! I hope you love and enjoy your Provari and much as I do. What is your setup going to be? And post pics! I love new vape porn :) and if you have any questions or need help we are here :)

Plenty of Provari owners willing to walk you through it here.

I am new, too, and this is my first post. Lurking like others until my head is swimming. Been collecting all kinds of great information. However it's time to stop searching and just ask. Know that I tried to answer my own questions first, I really did, there's just so much.

It's a good time to pause, and acknowledge with a THANK YOU, everyone kind enough and patient enough to answer the same questions over and over! You are like shephards... your flock is growing.

A few things quick things then the question...

I have smoked for 35 years. Thanks go in part to the boy who taught me in the park that I was supposed to inhale.

My husband and I both want to quit. I believe vaping will work for both of us. I am leading the charge and will select the right e-cig "system" for both of us. We can afford whatever I end up selecting, as we can't afford to continue to smoke. It's going to kill us. Money doesn't matter to me. Success is what matters to me.

From reading and reading, and reading some more and watching youtube videos and etc., what I have in mind is a Provari and using the direct dripping method.

So I want to skip all the baby steps and be seasoned day one, eh? Am I crazy to think of starting this way? I clearly see ending up there. But is that too advanced and therefore going to cause us to fail?

Do you think baby steps would be better? If so, what path do I start on that will lead there? Twist and vivi nova? Not interested in the cig a likes.

Your honest thoughts, please....

To Smell the Roses:

I have read of many people who skipped all the "usual" beginner steps and went directly with a Provari. I even know one personally. I do believe that none of them regret their decision. Based on that information, since the initial investment in a Provari setup would not be a financial drain for you, start out with the Provari. There are scores of testimonials right here in print of Provari owners who flat out state, "I wish I had started with this and not wasted time or money on the other stuff."

You've already pointed out in your introduction that you have spent a great deal of time here reading members' comments, gathering information and knowledge, watching video reviews and demonstrations. I consider you an informed consumer, not a wild-eyed beginner who wants a Provari because it's what other people are talking about.

Plus, you have ECF veterans here available literally around the clock to walk you every step of the way should you need it. I have personally spent hours with several people via PM's in helping them choose every particular item for their personal setup. What to buy and why, what not to buy and why, what vendor to choose for a particular item, etc. I base my decisions on knowledge and experience, and point out when my decision is an admittedly biased one, or if the decision to be made must be made by them alone.

You didn't say if you had even vaped before. That is the only factor that will prevent me from giving you an unqualified "go for it." I would have felt better if you had at the very least already tried a disposable e-cig.

Baditude,

Never Vaped. But, I am smart and determined. I am a critical thinker by nature. So what I've gathered vicariously through all I've researched is... I don't really want to mess with more than I have to.

My thought process ... Provari provides a wide range with which to work and direct dripping is kind of on demaind and I don't have to mess with filling tanks or carts or messing with wicks. It seems simplier, but I might burn out dripping atomizers trying to figure out how to use it.

I can buy a disposable e-cig. Which one is readily available? What should I pay particular attention to as I try it out?

i own mostly provaris as they are a great mod and they really fit my lifestyle best. i like a good tanked carto myself. i will say, have you ever looked at what are called bottomfeeders? i love a reo, fill the bottle and give a sqeeze, the juice runs to the atomizer or cartamizer and vape away.

Many gas stations and convenience stores have them, generally behind the counter or where the mini-cigars are displayed. You shouldn't need to pay more than $15 for one, and it will give you a decent first impression of vaping. Available in a tobacco or menthol flavor.

When vaping, use perhaps a gentle, consistant draw of 3-6 seconds duration, hold in the mouth, then inhale, exhale through both your nose and mouth to best taste the flavor.

Don't inhale directly into your lungs. In fact, it's not even required to inhale at all to get the nicotine in vaper. Most of the nicotine in vapor is absorbed by the mouth, throat, and nose.

Some new vapors experience the need to cough initially. This is common. It took your body some time to get used to cigarette smoke, it may take it some time to get used to vapor.

For you, I don't think a Provari is a rash decision. It will certainly save you a lot of intermediate steps since you'll probably wind up owning a Provari anyway.

And direct dripping in an atomizer is a great way to taste test new juices. In fact, some people primarily drip. You should buy a couple of atomizers - everyone needs a few of them around anyway. But, for me, I hate being tied to a juice bottle and having to constantly drip more juice into the atomizer. (A bottom feeder, such as a Reo, is perfect for that - it gives you all the benefits of dripping without any of the hassle or mess.)

I've tried a lot of stuff, and my preferred juice delivery system is the Vivi Nova tank. Some people will bash them, but if you read much here you'll find a lot of love for them. They are easy, simple, cheap and effective. And mine have never leaked a drop. The important thing is to buy the GENUINE Vision Vivi Nova, not some knock-off that's a buck or two cheaper. The knockoffs have all manner of problems and issues.

I guess I'm one of the few people who don't regret getting a Twist as my first VV. I love my mini, but I don't know if I would love it quite so deeply if I hadn't had something to compare it to. I still use my Twists, btw, which I rotate with the mini so I don't have to keep screwing tanks on and off. Three fisted vaping rules!
