I guess I'm one of the few people who don't regret getting a Twist as my first VV. I love my mini, but I don't know if I would love it quite so deeply if I hadn't had something to compare it to. I still use my Twists, btw, which I rotate with the mini so I don't have to keep screwing tanks on and off. Three fisted vaping rules!

I kind of agree with this. If I would have started with a large mod device (SB, prodigy, etc), I might not have liked it so much. There's something to be said about being able to pull out a small ego in public and getting that "WOW!!!! Can I try that?" impression. When I'm out with my Zmax, i'm just worried someone's going to think I have a small pipe bomb on me.....

Success is what matters to me.
Do you think baby steps would be better? If so, what path do I start on that will lead there? Twist and vivi nova? Not interested in the cig a likes.

Your honest thoughts, please....
Even if you go with the Provari, you will need a back up plan, just in case it fails on you. No device is 100%.

A good idea might be to start off with a Joye eGo Twist or Vision eGo Spinner battery with a simple on top juice delivery device such as a mini Vivi Nova tank. You'll get the basics down with vaping with that, learn a little about what variable voltage does, and still be able to use the eGo's as a backup setup once you get a Provari.

I actually agree with you. I've got several Twists, and I like them. Well, 2 Twists and 2 Spinners. I actually like the Spinners better than the Twists, but that's a different discussion.

I use the Twists when I'm out and about and want something small and pocketable. They are perfect for that.

As affordable as Twists and Spinners are these days, there's no reason not to have a couple at least for backups. And I don't think I'd recommend a non-vv PV to a newb any more. There are just too many advantages to vv, and no downsides that I can see.

I am new, too, and this is my first post. Lurking like others until my head is swimming. Been collecting all kinds of great information. However it's time to stop searching and just ask. Know that I tried to answer my own questions first, I really did, there's just so much.

It's a good time to pause, and acknowledge with a THANK YOU, everyone kind enough and patient enough to answer the same questions over and over! You are like shephards... your flock is growing.

A few things quick things then the question...

I have smoked for 35 years. Thanks go in part to the boy who taught me in the park that I was supposed to inhale.

My husband and I both want to quit. I believe vaping will work for both of us. I am leading the charge and will select the right e-cig "system" for both of us. We can afford whatever I end up selecting, as we can't afford to continue to smoke. It's going to kill us. Money doesn't matter to me. Success is what matters to me.

From reading and reading, and reading some more and watching youtube videos and etc., what I have in mind is a Provari and using the direct dripping method.

So I want to skip all the baby steps and be seasoned day one, eh? Am I crazy to think of starting this way? I clearly see ending up there. But is that too advanced and therefore going to cause us to fail?

Do you think baby steps would be better? If so, what path do I start on that will lead there? Twist and vivi nova? Not interested in the cig a likes.

Your honest thoughts, please....

Hey neighbor, Welcome.

I believe your thinking is sound wanting to start off with a Provari.
I began with purchasing a Vision Spinner, a Provari, and 2 Vivi Novas. Problem is for you and your husband it 2X. Additionally, you will need batteries for the Provari's, a charger for the Provari batteries, a seperate one for the spinners or twists, and a ton of juice.

Right now ill probably flip between my elegance carto tank and my did knock off. I have found my perfect vape finally with the rba's. love them. I really want a zap but I'm going to have it with me all the time and I don't want it to leak. Do you have any suggestions of a good RBA that looks good on Provari mini and won't Leak when I put it on its side? Try and stop me from posting pics of my new baby when she arrives tomorrow!!!

Congrats on skipping steps 1-99 and getting an end game device, I'm sure you will be very happy.

I didn't skip anything I'm just a obsessive person. I already have two 1000 mAh c-twists and one Sigelei Zmax vw. Then someone in a vape store showed me a provari and I fell in love with it.

From what i know it's only VV from 2.9 to 6.0 volts.

I already have a variable wattage device and really it doesn't matter that much because I'm still changing the watts throughout the day. theres no difference really between changing Watts and changing volts. And... Volts are more accurate. The VW feature is nice but from someone who has one. It's really not necessary. Also most vw devices are pulse width modulation... I'm getting ahead of the beginner portion of this talk ill just leave it at that.

That's exactly what I did. And I love my ego c-twists. They look more well put together then the spinner but I have never actually tried the spinner so... My advice, start small ego, spinner, then don't buy another mod until you've done your research. I though having the sigelei zmax was the way to go and shelled out 130 bones for it now that my provari is coming I may give it to my dad. Or I may keep it :)

Hi Falso,

Welcome to ECF! I hope you love and enjoy your Provari and much as I do. What is your setup going to be? And post pics! I love new vape porn :) and if you have any questions or need help we are here :)

Thanks so much everyone has been awesome so far. That's what I love about the vaping community. It seems like everyone is always very eager to help someone out. I promise I will post some good pics of my setup when it's done. Do you recommend any genesis rba's that don't leak and look good on a provari. Thought about a zap but I heard they leak and I need something for on the go. Currently between DID knockoff and evolution elegance carto tank. And just ordered an aga-t2

You must have big pockets. With a tank on my 1000mAh Twist it looks like I'm playing a recorder. For pocketable I use a 650mAh standard.

The 650mah Twist and a mini Vivi Nova tank is plenty small enough to carry in the front pocket of my jeans, and I'm not a big guy. I do have to be careful when I sit down.

Vaping is of course different that inhaling smoke from a cigarette. Inhalation of vapor is not even required to absorb the nicotine. Holding the vapor in the mouth for a few seconds will do about the same thing. You may try French inhaling and see how that works

I will definitely pick one up to practice the vaping draw. I might be silly, but I've watched the videos show the method and have practiced on analogs. Analogs get hot with a long draw and I hate smoke coming out my nose! That does not produce the best flavor.

I think disposable would be a better practice device.
