Hello. :)

About a month ago, I purchased my Joye 510 e-cigarette, and I got it at Totally Vapor USA, at a mall. The reason why I purchased it at a mall was because it was a quick choice I decided to make, but that's not much like me. Usually I do the research, but I knew a few people who bought their e-cigarettes online that had horrible experiences (cartomizers- I think that's what they're called- leaking, and one of my friend's e-cigarette didn't even work), which scared me away from getting one online. Then, my friend Kate showed me here TV 510 Cigarette, and since I tried it and fell in love with it, I purchased one (way overpriced). After getting my research, go figure, not only did I find valuable places to get Joye 510 atomizers and flavors, but I also found out that I have the model that my friends didn't have. I think one had a "Smoke 51" brand, and the other a "Blu Cig". Although TV is way overpriced, their customer service was quite impressive. I burned out my first atomizer after a month, and they replaced it for free, and gave me new cartridges, but I'll definitely be purchasing elsewhere and online. Their juice is also expensive, but it's been a month and I still have 1/3 of my vapor juice left (I smoked about a pack a day). :) I definitely learned my lesson about skipping on the research before buying, but I did try it myself, and the other online experiences my friends had scared me away.

With that long introduction about my paragraph out of the way :p I am very happy that I am a vapor smoker. I am seizure prone, and I tried quitting cigarettes cold turkey. I had a seizure, of course, and it was because I tried quitting. The patch made me sick, and thee gum didn't work. I was so lost as to how to quit that vaping was my last choice. It is also the one method that has 100% worked for me. I had no problem transitioning.

I'm also happy that I had stumbled upon this forum. I can't wait to meet other vapers- this forum definitely has helped to inform me, and I am glad I decided to join. :)

Welcome to ECF, it may have been over priced but you got a good e-cig. I made mistakes online like your friends and they didn't get me off the smokes. I finally found this forum and a 510 and quit by accident in 2 days. I now use the Joye eGo, which has the same parts as a 510 but with bigger batteries so they last most of the day before having to change it. You are off to a great start and this is the most helpful bunch of people you will have the honor to get to know. Any questions on anything, just ask and you will have answers faster then you thought possible. Happy vaping!!!

Welcome, Raynen! Thanks for sharing your story. It's horrible that you had a seizure when you tried to quit cold turkey. I think you'll find quitting, if that's what you choose to do, much easier and less stressful by vaping. You can gradually decrease the amount of nicotine and go at your own pace. Besides, it's much tastier than that awful gum!

I'm glad you're here! Pull up a chair, grab your PV and be prepared to have a great time!

Vape on!

I would suggest that you speak with your doctor about this however and make sure it's just suddenly quitting nicotine that can lead to your seizures and not some of the other chemicals in analogs. There are a LOT of things your body is addicted to with analogs other than nicotine, and you will be eliminating all of them this way. So, I just want to caution you on this just in case it's not just the lack of nicotine that could be the cause of your seizures. If that is not the case though, and that seems to be the case without a seizure for a month, then great! I just wanted to throw that out there just as a precaution though. I'm not trying to get you smoking again by any means, but merely want the safest transition possible for you.

Welcome! I am very sorry to hear of your seizure experience before, but I'm so glad you are liking vaping and I also think you will find it much less stressful and easier. You will find good vendors and good deals here.

I found that once I had found the hardware I liked and enough backups of it to feel prepared, as well as enough juice for a while, a lot of stress seemed to melt away and I knew I just wouldn't be needing analogs. Course it's only been 5 days since my last, but hard part's definitely over now. :)

Stick around, everyone here was so nice to me and they all want us to succeed!

Hi Raynen! Congratulations on your transition....stay safe...and be aware of what your body is telling you. I agree with vivictus that there are other chemicals you're addicted to that may be problematic for you. They were for me...I went through several weeks of withdrawls...but my niccotine was under control. It was the lack of the other chemicals that really messed with me. Anyway, be sure to be drinking plenty of good liquids (water, etc) because dehydration can also sneek up on you really quick when you're vaping. Anyway...good luck to you and know we're always here for you!
