What's up everyone, i'm a new member and have been vaping for about a week, smoking analogs for about 10 years. About two years ago I bought a BluCig trying to quit analogs and found it to produce too little vapor and actually made me want to smoke analogs even more. I defaulted and kept smoking. A year ago my first child was born and needless to say I didn't want to smoke and have second hand smoke around her so I tried quitting again. This time I used the Nicorette Mini lozenges and had fairly good success, quitting for around 6 months before defaulting back to cigarettes. A few days ago was my daughters first birthday and I wanted to try to quit again so I started searching for new and improved e-cigs which is when I found Personal Vaporizer's. PV's seemed to be exactly what I wanted and needed, customizable, lots of vendors, produces better vapor and taste.
I started by ordering a Joye Ego-c kit from Rocky Mountain Vapor for $55 after coupon and some sample juice from Heathers Heavenly Vapes. I quickly found that the tank system on the Ego-c was lacking so I ordered some Vision Ego Clearomizers from Got Vapes. I also order a SLB eGo-V Variable Voltage battery from Got Vapes so I can play with a variable setup.
Currently I'm still testing juices and trying to find my day vape. Also testing some Boge and Ikenvape 510 and 801 cartomizers in difference resistances and different tank setups.
I am a technical engineer at a fortune 100 company so I was able to pick up vaping pretty quickly, however I can see how it would be hard to people without a technical background. What I would like to do is use some of my technical writing and certification skills and create a Newbie Guide which will walk new users through the process I took, filtering out all the crap and ending with a vaping product that I am truly happy with. Explaining the different technologies and paths that one could take. Explaining the different components that I tested and troubles that I ran into etc. From there I can collaborate with some of the active and knowledgeable videobloggers like Grimm Green to create a series of newbie videos that will help the community as a whole. I think this would be useful to the newbie community because I am still in the newbie mindset and can articulate using that mindset.
Just from my week or so of vaping I can truly see how vaping can help people to completely replace cigarettes. Although that is not the only use, that is what I am personally using it for.
Please provide any feedback you may have.
Thanks!
