The Provari Mini Starter Kit: I have questions ans concerns

I've been using V2 cigs with the ex blanks carts, and e liquid from JVapes for a while now. I wanted to get a mod to enhance the experience so I decided on the Provari mini starter kit. I will get it in a few days and I have some questions since I have no experience with mods. My major question is, How often on average does the coil wick have to be replaced in the protank 2 that comes with it? If I want to use different e liquid flavors, is it easier to just have a few protank 2's instead of cleaning and rebuilding 1 tank each time I want to use a different flavor? I like to use 2 or 3 different flavors throughout a day. Any help with my question will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Congrats on the Provari. As far as flavor changes... You definitely want more Protanks. Backups for your backups as we say around here. If you have a few running at once you can change flavors just by switching tanks. Plus if one of them say, breaks, you have a backup. Keep those V2's for backup too.

PS: Backups for backups for everything. chargers, batteries, toppers, juice. What ever is keeping you off the smokes needs be available always.

In my experience, it depends on the juice. Dark, sweet liquids can gunk up coils faster than clearer ones. I have a protank 2, 2 mini protanks, an Aro and an Aro 2 all going. I also have a couple evods on standby. Bonus is that they all use the same coil heads. Back ups back ups back ups!

As far as coils go, I have 11 on standby at the moment that I built, and about 10 stock ones for emergency. 5 of those in my purse.

Replace protank coil:
I've heard of people running the same head for weeks without swap, but I'd say it could be once a day, then put to recycle, if you vape alot.

Different flavors:
Just have a few tanks. Even with one flavor I rather have 2 tanks just so if I swap a head on one I can switch to the other tank while the new atomizer gets wet.

So wait a minute, this will be your first protank2? I hope you get the miniprotank2; the base is better; or else get the base for the aerotank from sunvapers.com

So the v2 carts;;; can't they fit in a carto tank? Maybe what you need is a cartotank to use with your existing v2.

Greetings, welcome to the forum, my family lived in Amherst during my Jr highschool years, so we were probably almost neighbors at one point.

I used to use a Davide clearomizer regularly, which takes PT2 replacement coils. I found they didn't last long at all, often not more than a day or two (vaping approx. 3 Mls of e-liquid per day). You could rebuild coils for your PT -- it's pretty easy, and should give you better results. If you use cotton for the wick, and replace it as needed, the coil itself could last weeks before you would need to change it.

I use more than one protank. But one of them sees various different flavours each week. When it gets empty i'll just fill it with another flavour. Whatever gets left behind in the coil doesn't matter at all. I'll dismantle the protank give it a wipe with kitchen towel and vape on...:)

Thank you all for responding so quickly. You've already helped me a great deal. I'd like to add that I came to realize after thinking quite a bit, that it just makes no sense for anyone to smoke anymore ( if it ever did) with this new technology. A lot of people still don't see it. Vapor doesn't stick to your insides like smoke does and that in itself is the entire health risk and hazard of smoking. Vapor is guilt free, no smell, and it tastes better and is all around more enjoyable.

Nope it doesn't; the costs do need to come down, and it's easy for somebody to try and not happen to find a good system and give it up.

Still a ways to go.

Based on the comments on this board, seems to me the Halo system is doing a much better job than blu in converting people so far.
