Hello to all!
I'm not new to vaping, but I am new to this particular forum. I've never seen so much good information all in one place with friendly and helpful people in charge and participating! I was a pack a day smoker for over 20 years. After my first vape, I had 1 more analog cigarette and never looked back. I'm not really adventurous in my vaping, I just did a lot of research before starting back in the spring and hit the right suppliers, got the right equipment and consumables for me. I can't believe it took me so long to find ECF!!! Now I have access to more information and people who are a bit more adventurous so I'm looking forward to venturing out in my vaping experience a tad. Hope to see ya around the forum!

I am new to forum+e.cig, 6 days since i have smoked a cig (menthol) my electronic cig is not very good, charging all the time, cannot get a good drag or puff, hardly any smoke comes out, i really dont want to start smoking again but need advice on what to buy+how much it costs, many thanks

Hi Trish: I'm sorry you're having such a bad first experience with vaping. Since I'm not all that adventurous, I'll only speak to this: to get really good help, tell a bit more about your analog smoking habits and what you're already using for vaping equipment. Your post indicates you're using vaping as a smoking cessation tool and that's why I researched it too. I thought it would be a good alternative for someone who didn't necessarily *want* to quit smoking. Everyone is different and people vape for different reasons. If you want to continue in your smoking cessation, remember it's the nicotine that's addictive. Weaning slowly down, as you would with the patch, nicotine inhaler or gum is a good thing to remember to do. Once you get advice on what you'd probably like to try and the investment you'd like to make (my initial investment was in a cheapy Quik-Trip e-cig, just to see if I'd like it) I think you'll find the right equipment and that the cash outlay for vaping is far, far less than for analog cigarettes! I'll be happy to share what I use if you're interested and look around the forum, watch some YouTube videos on vaping and check out the dependability of suppliers. I think you'll have good success! Best of luck to you!

Hello All,

I am new to this forum and the e-cig. This site does have an overwhelming amount of info. I have been smoking about 30 years I'm good for 2 packs a day. My wife and I are trying to give up conventional smokes. I have tried a few e-cigs from a couple different stores here. Really didn't care for any except this "Logic" marlboro flavored. I have read on here alot about flavors, strengths, mixtures etc... That sounds pretty invloved to me. I have never been real picky about what brand of conventional cigs I smoked ( just don't care for menthol). I am sure it sounds a bit lazy but I am looking for an e-cig that I can just open up and start "vaping" as I think it's called here. Disposable, no battery re-charges, no special flavors or mixtures etc... Can someone suggest a very simple right out of the package open up and vape e-cig that doesn't taste like burning plastic? Thanks for any input.

I've only been vapeing 2 weeks and can answer that:

No.

The pre-filled, been sitting in storage since February cartridges have a flavor that cannot be described with polite language.

You have to ask yourself if a $75 risk is worth greatly improving your quality of life.

Get a e cig starter kit.

Get several flavors of e juice in several flavors and nicotine strengths.... play with it.... see what you like.

I wasn't sorry, you won't be either.

I've smoked for 25 years, thought about quitting a million times, even tried a hundred times... successfully zero times. I respect the fact that non smokers really hate our habit, it does stink, it is unhealthy and seeing as it does encroach on their airspace as well...I had to admit, non-smokers have a valid point...problem is, I love smoking, the nic rush, the throat hit (I didn't even know until a week ago there was even a term "throat hit" but ya, that about nails it). About a week ago the cashier at my local super market showed me her new e-cig thing and let me try it, I'm a sucker for gadgets soooo...I lurked this forum for a couple days and decided on the eGo T (it just sounded like the "fit" what I was looking for, shameless plug to JJ at Vancityvapors.com)...I'm on my 3rd day of vaping, I got some Jamaican Rum and a Virginian Tobacco juice...the rum was a little too sweet, the Virginian a little too bland so I just mixed them together, I think It tastes pretty good but as a "3 days in" super noob, I don't know squat...what I do know is I haven't had (and I mean even remotely had) a desire to smoke a cigarette (an analogue, I love that) since my first pull on this thing...I know I'm probably not the norm but as a "veteran" smoker I think I'm qualified to state the following...if you're like me, reading these threads, at some tipping point of should I/shouldn't I, what if I don't like it, what if bla, bla, bla...just do it, my only regret is that I just found out about vaping a week ago...as Lou Reed said, "it's the beginning of a great adventure"
