Here's a new meter I made to use with the Kick. With the Kick the meter doesn't read volts when there's no load and the ground circuit is established between the Kick's spring and the tube wall. I wanted to find a way to know for sure there is contact between the Kick spring and the tube wall. By adding an LED, it lights up when I press the switch so I know for sure there's contact. When I add a load the meter reads/displays volts.

No biggie, but if you are gonna make a meter for yourself and plan on using the Kick when it's available, here's a way to have the meter ready when you need it.

Hope this helps

question, probably answered somewhere already, so how do you adjust for wattage with this other than doing ohm's law calculations? speaking meterwise, with the darwin you set the wattage for your vape but with the kick it seems you are setting the voltage to dial in the wattage through calculation...

Jed, the Kick adjusts the same as the Darwin does. There is a pot on the top of the unit that you adjust to set the watts you want, then the unit will adjust the voltage accordingly to maintain that wattage. This is why Para's volt meter is set up to not display when there is no load ;-)

Excellent work. Right now I'm seeking some box to make the same meter. Too lazy to make a box myself...
Where did you find this box? :)

The box is by Hammond; pretty sure they have a world wide distribution. If you go to their website, they have links to their distributors. The dimensions are 1.38 X 1.38 X 0.59" Hammond makes really nice boxes; they hold up well and are easy to work
