So I pulled the trigger on the ijoy captain today. The problem I'm having is something happened between it and my al85 for the flavor Im getting out of my uwell Valyrian. I'm getting a weird muted flavor. Almost chemical like. I thought maybe it was the coil so I changed it. Yes I primed it and wore it in slowly. Still stuck with the strange muted chemical flavor. Maybe I have vapors tongue lol? I really want to get this figured out. I like the ijoy and I like the Valyrian alot. Talk to me vape fam. Help me lol.

If it's a chemical kind of taste my guess would be that it may need some breathing. Take the cap off your juice and leave it off for a couple hours then place the cap back on and let it steep a bit and try it again in a couple days.

So love your profile picture. That baby is adorable.... yours?

Just to clarify, same Valyrian, move the same tank with the same coil and juice between sitting on an AL85 or the new Captain, same wattage, and it tastes way different on the Captain compared to the AL85? If I read your post wrong, my apologies, but if it's the same tank switched between two mods and has a totally different vape, it's not the tank or coil, something is not delivering the same power for a given wattage.

Wattage issues aren't outside the realm of possibility. When I got my Tesla Nano 120, I was turning down all my wattages as that thing pumps out power very efficiently!

It could be a coil I guess, but then why would it work on one mod versus another? Are you using the same coil for these experiments? Glad you got it figured out somewhat, in any case. :) Good luck, some vape things are just.... mysterious.

So, this ^^^^^^ would seem to indicate airflow problems, possibly? Are you getting enough air through your tank, maybe you need to make your wick slightly shorter so that more air is coming through? It's just a thought.... I'm hardly the person to problem solve RTAs, not at this point. The last RTA I built and wicked (le doggystyle) was an hour and a half disaster.... I plan on returning to it, like, maybe next week. LOL.
