New mod... I think I may have broke it

I visited a local shop and decided to upgrade my mod. I bought a KeCig K100+ with an additional tank and cartomizer to fit. Even though the shop wasn't that busy the sales girl had horrible customer service. She was complete ready to tell me about all the expensive mods but wasn't good at explaining how to use them day to day. I eventually had to google how to use the battery charger. I digress... I get home after dripping and setting it up in the store, everything was fine. I dropped very little because I knew I would want to change the liquid later on. However, when I got home and took my tank off and dripped more into the carto and the tank now I can taste the liquid. Even after several drags, it's still happening. The liquid seems to even been coming through on the mouth piece. I have no idea what I could have done wrong. I don't know if it's something I did or possibly the liquid I used. If anyone has any suggests I would really appreciate it.

Sounds like there might be some terminology confusion between cartomizers and tanks.. Maybe it's just me, but I'm a bit confused by what you mean.

In any case, if liquid is coming up through the mouth piece without being vaporized then you've probably flooded it. How many drops did you drip into it before this happened?

I may... Let me tell you what she told me. The mod kit can with a cartomizer that I could get about 8 hits from. In addition to what came in the kit I purchased a glass tank that slips over the cartomizer. I had to buy additional cartos that had holes in the sides so it would work with the tank. I only put two or three drops into the carto and I filled the tank up 1/3 of the way.

by cartomizer you are referring to a metal tube with cotton in it? it sounds like it just has too much liquid in it. i would just blow into the bottom where it screws in and wipe up whatever comes out.

most of the stores around where i live sell all these mods and dont know anything about them. theres only one store that can do builds in drippers, the rest of them will sell you something and not be able to tell you how to use it to its full potential. my first mod was a k100. theyre great for rba's.

Hmm.. Interesting set up. The good news is I don't think you've broken it. You will probably need to vape on it quite a bit before you can drain out that excess liquid, but that is more or less a guess since I've never used any carto/tank mixes before.

If you don't want to vape it, I suppose you could drain the tank and try just vaping the carto. Betcha that would do the trick, but it sounds like you might want to look into a different type of juice delivery system.. Can't quite wrap my head around how that would work (wouldn't the carto be all wet with juice if you decided to remove the tank?).

k100s come with just a straight carto with a little shield that goes around it, it doesnt sound like theres any tanks involved

Yes, the sliver tube with the cotton in it. The box of additional ones says cartomizer 5 pack so that's why I'm saying that. If that's incorrect I'm not sure what to call it lol

when you drip in the carto try to make sure none of it gets in that little tube in the middle. thatll flood it

Assuming I'm visualizing this correctly, it sounds like you are not supposed to fill that piece that covers the carto. It's probably more of an aesthetic thing that keeps your piece from looking ugly. If this is indeed the case, I cannot believe the lady at the store gave you the idea to fill it..

Just drain it out and you should be fine.

Could it be a carto tank? The cartomizers with holes in them are used in that tank and it needs to be primed.

they make little glass shells to go around a carto to use it like an artemis or whatever. ive never used one, some of them look pretty rad though haha.

Well, if you are supposed to fill it, then it sounds like phishazoa is right. You probably just dripped straight down the middle onto the atty and flooded it a bit. Vape on and it should go away.

yeah just try to hit the cotton when you prime it. you should only need to drip straight into the carto once when you use a new one if it is a tank. the little holes in the bottom suck in fluid from the reservoir to keep the cotton saturated

Yes yes! She told me it needs to be primed. I did prime it with the juice and put it back on and now I'm tasting juice on the tip.
