Hey Guys :) Just wanted to do an update on the Trekkie...( ok. trekkeon...i call it the Trekie or Trekkie )

I obviously don't read directions...this mod came with an instruction booklet..and after having it for a week or so, i finally got down to reading the instructions. I havent charged this mod correctly.

When i first got it, i charged it for a few hours and then went with it for a couple of days...then charged it again. I was only getting about 2 days life on the battery charges..and i noticed on the 3rd day that it was only staying in the green charging mode for a few hours then going to that yellowish orangey color.

< duh..Hits self in head > The instructions plainly state...on page 5. You are suppost to charge the battery in the Off position ( i didnt do that either) for 8 hours...this charges the battery fully and resets the battery cycle thingy.

Ok...did this night before last....2 days of HEAVY vaping..and it's still Green :) Yay....

I'm blondish...plus..im bad with instructions.

So far...2 long days of heavy vaping and its still green..which is over 60 percent charged....

Yeah ! Eureka !

Still loving this vape...it's one of my main vapes...i basically carry around 2 devices with me all the time, and this is one of them.

This thing looks super cool with a stainless t tip on the cartomizer too :)

So if you charge it while on, it will charge, but not all the way? That's odd. Good to know though. It makes using it as a PT a bit less efficient, but it's certainly not a dealbreaker.

Hey Candre...you can charge it in the On position, which i did before and still vape on it...but for it to fully charge it needs a good 6 to 8 hours of charging..and i think it needs to be in the OFf position for it to fully charge...

Day 3..heavy vaping and it just now turned to the yellowish orange color..which means it's just below the 60 percent level.

My guess is..you could probably vape on this Tekkie for about 5 days or 6 before it would go completely dead.. Keep in mind..i vape on 2 different devices so if you just used this exclusively Id guess 4 days without recharging.

And..another thing..even when it's not at full charge there is NO drop of vapor production...I cannot tell any difference in vaping on it now than when it was just newly charged. Which is a big plus for me.

Chev clarified the charging operation in a PM to me. Apparently it charges just as fast on or off, but being on effects the LED color thresholds (this makes sense electronically) so that you don't get an accurate gauge for when it's full. Also, using as a PT (charging and vaping at the same time) is possible, but discouraged. The extra current draw causes the charging circuit to heat up a bit more than normal, which may or may not be a problem.

Cypress...you are so going to love this mod.....

I have no doubt. It fills the need for the 5 main things I'm looking for...

~5v: check!
Huge battery life: check!
510 connection: check!
On/Off switch: check!
compact: check!

Not to mention it looks wicked cool. Probably have to do a video review for initial impressions and such.

I have a question..
I oticed that the volts start @ 4.2? and goes up..
Does it come at all starting at 3.? to 5v? Or no..

Stu, I think you are referring to the fistpack. The Tekk is only 5v.

The fistpack starts at 4.2 then 4.5, 4.8, and 5 the HV version is 4.3, 4.8, 5, & 5.2 (if memory serves).

What voltage are you vaping at for that batt life?? And have you picked a voltage you like or are you using the adjustment to accomadate carto's, atty's, juice ect...?

I don't have my fistpack yet (it's coming). I have read the voltage selection doesn't have a huge effect on battery life.

I do have my Tekk and I must say I am liking it very much. Really nice, well built unit that performs beautifully with my AFS attached.
