Make sure the tanks is all the way in and twist it around a little. My tanks are very tight going in so maybe you need to twist and press down very hard to get it where it should be. I have filled my one tank 3 times so far and no leaking whats so ever. You might try another tank to see if that fixes it. Don't know but maybe the wick inside the puncture needle has been pushed out for some reason, take the atty out of the cone and see if you can see the wick inside the needle. Hope this helps a little.

bunwabit - I had a leaking issue today as well. This is the same tank I have been using for over a week now and I think I just wore out the cap. This was one of the silicone caps btw.

I actually did a fubar last week on one of my tank caps by pulling off the little plug that gets punched out when you first puncture the cap. I thought it was covering the spike hole and causing wicking problems but I think it was just the thick, dark juice I was using. I tossed this cap that I did the fubar on.

I think another thing that helps is wiping the caps and tank hole down so it is pretty much dry before placing the cap back on. I noticed a bit of what I would call condensation on the inside of the cone but no major leaking except for my fubar on the cap plug and the worn out cap from today. I also started cleaning/drying the tanks between refills. I have three tanks I haven't even opened yet.

Another thing that I think is important is alignment. If the cone is not screwed down tightly when you first puncture the cap the spike may push through at a an angle possibly causing a leak. Hope this helps. :)

I've only used each tank twice maybe 3 times maximum so far and two of them were just horrible (out of 3). I still see the wick in the atty. I guess I'll just keep wiping and wiping and hoping that it gets better. Maybe the condensation is the problem?

The tank I have on right now is doing okay, but earlier this is one of the ones that gave me an issue. Weird. I do have the silicon cap on it and had the two different experiences with it.

I think I may try to buy a bunch of these little silicon caps, I assume like everything else I can buy them separately. Ugh I love it when it's working nicely but UGH what a mess it creates when it's leaking all over my case and desk at work!!!

Maybe we need to step back, and the tank caps aren't the issue. What kind of juice are you using? PG/VG ratio?
I've been vaping primarily 70/30, Ms t's doesn't disclose, but that's an approx. ratio for her mix. Ms T's juices are much thicker than the juice I got from Velvet Vapors. (And I have only vaped a few tanks from those juices).

I'm using 50/50 (I figured it was a safe bet since I had no clue) and I have about 10 on their way at 50/50 ratio from the Vapor Room & Mrs T's. The one's I am currently using are from VapeVariety.

Okay where can I get these silicon caps I'm looking can't find them.

Juice should be thick enough then, not to increase leakage.
You have a fresh tank w/ a hard cap?
Your "C" kit, should have come w/ 3 of the soft silicone replacement caps. (Have you gone through all of those?)

Also, you never did mention if you tried changing Atty's out.

I used only the 1st stock Atty for a few weeks straight, no issues. I installed one of the new LR's, and have been using it for a few days now, no leakage issues (Using soft cap).. the LR burns much hotter, so if the Atty was going to cause leakage issues, you would think the LR would be prime due to the heat increase?

Sorry you are having issues.

I've even been experimenting using a Riva VV battery w/ the LR "C" Atty setup, no issues, at higher voltage either.

What tobacco flavor are ordering? I have the Stainless steel model, very nice looking. Does your tanks slid down into your cone very tightly? Mine is to tight but they will go in if I twist it and press down real hard.

It was the tobbaco flovor that came with the system, waiting for more flavors to come in

Must say after taking the tank in and out several times it got easier, when do i need to replace the tank?

about the operator error causing the c to leak:

umm yes, make sure the tank is compley seated

Yeah, the first couple times I used mine, I noticed that the seam of the mouthpiece wasn't flush with the top of the cone. It took some more pressure to get it completely seated.

I got the tobacco flavor too, TOB-M and it is pretty good. You don't need to replace the tank unless it leaks, so in most cases it will last a long time. You can take the bottom cap off and rinse in water or soap and water, then just snap it back on. You can also take the top cap off and the plate below that if you want to, some say it vapes better if you leave the plate out completely, you can always put it back in if wanted, so experiment.

What plate are you talking about?

Use a tool made out of a paper clip with the end bent out just a little and you put it in the hole of the plastic insert on top of the mouth piece and pull it off, and under that is another insert/plate with a tiny hole in it, use the tool and pull it out too.

rabernet - Here is a pic showing the removed tip cap wyojoe is referring to. There is also another plastic piece under it. Just pop 'em out with a paper clip. I take 'em out when I clean/rinse the tanks. :)

I learn new stuff here all the time also. Every thing I learned was trial and error, experimenting, and mostly what I have learned here on the ECF with the nice folks sharing ideas and what they have found to work for them. The ECF is a heck of a knowledge base. This is where I found out about the eGo-c and I am sure glad I did, so far after refilling the tank 4 times its working great. I quit using the eGo T and would never order again, with the cost of replacing a T and I found they were hard to clean. Now It will take time to see if the cleaning goes any better with the C when it needs cleaning, but at least if I need a replacement atty the C is under 5 Dollars compared to 11 to 15 dollars for the T atty.
