I just received my LT, in red, and love it! But I am new to tanks and I am experiencing the awful taste of primer. Cartos don't have primer. Help.
I filled the tank 3/4 full plus topped off the carto. The coveted air bubble displayed itaelf. I began the vape journey at 3.3 and have taken it to 6.o on this 3.o prepunched volcano caro. Awful primer flavor through entire range. Do I vape it out like the attys of old, toss it, punch larger hole or what. The vapor increases but the flavor stays old primer. There shou?d be more vapor at 6 too than is present, help

I can't really help ya cus I don't use cartos or tanks but a search of Volcanoecigs forum shows that some others are having this problem too. Some think the carto is not wicking well. Some say if the poly fill is burned already it's very hard to get the taste to go away. Ya might do better posting this issue over on their forums.

Higher voltage should produce more vapor. I find 6v on the LT with a fresh battery can start to burn my 3.0 ohm atty. Unless you have a large supply of atties, you cannot always replace the tanks atty. I know this can be frustrating.

Will check over there tomorrow. Thanks for your response, it helps knowing that its not just me and there might be an available fix. For now I'll. Enlarge a new carto and syrynge the juice out of the tank . If that doesn't work I'll get out a boge. Oh! While I'm here ... how do we use the tank sock...

The tank sock is for use on the inferno battery which is an ego clone but with an oring instead of threads for the cone or tank atties... The sock is to give the inferno a more stream line look or cover the gaps you have when you use a tank on the inferno battery....

I had never used tank until I got my LT recently and the 3.0 volcano carts with the flange and tiny hole. No issues what so ever and the flavor of my juice is fine and just as good as my regular Kanger or Boge carts only difference is the stainless steel Volcano sits in a tank of juice.....just wanted it to be known that they all aren't bad if yours happens to be...good luck and enjoy your LT

Oh! Okay. No wonder it wouldn't fit.... lol. But cool for my ego with a 1.5 cartos. Glad I splurged for it.

Uma, how many drips did you put into your carto before inserting into your tank? If you are using the Volcano Smoketech cartos, you can usually get at LEAST 40 drops into that carto. Let it sit for a few mins., and then commence the vaping. You shouldn't get any fowl taste. I've gone through many of these and have yet got any nasty taste. Godspeed!

 Prefill? oops.

I'll start afresh and hope for better results. Thanks for the tip!
So far, the juice I'm using is 80% pg, (Volt's ry4).

Oh! BTW, this morning, I, too, got radio interference (staticc) each time I pressed the fire button on the LT. (I have a different carto on it for now). Just thought I'd toss that in there while I'm here. I've heard others saying the same thing and thought I'd toss in my "me too!" while it's fresh on my mind. (mine is a battery powered FM radio).

Uma, after filling the carto and tank, remove tank from the LT and prime it by placing your finger on the bottom of the cart and take short inhales. The guy at Volcano primed my first tank, said to do about 30 times to ensure no burn. I do this every time I replace mine and never have had a burnt one. HTH
The dry pull/puff is very familiar to me, because of the Reo, yet I never once thought to do this with the tank carto. :slap forehead: Thanks!
The Volcano forum guy (Artist boy) replied back to my help thread over there and said the same thing. He said to Pre-fill the carto, do some dry pulls, let it sit and absorb, then will be good to go. He said to toss this one with the awful flavor, it's burnt. So, as soon as I find my syrynge from the old ego mega cartos, I'll draw out my juice and start anew. :) (they were great and sent me an extra 2 cartos with my order thank goodness!!).

Thanks everyone for your help.

Wow, now that's service! I'm sure they're taking quite a beating from those first run batteries that turned out to be fakes. I feel for them.
I would have posted over there first, but I was on my phone and it was too difficult to register for the forum from my phone. But, it all worked out, between the wonderful helpful posters here at ECF and over there too. The info was confirmed in both places. Can't beat that!

I syrynged out what juice was left... only 1ml. The carto had wicked up the other 2 mls while waiting for me to gather info and follow through with the info. So, I wasted that juice... probably just as well, as it was probably tainted from the burnt flavor anyway. Bonus though! I now know how to fill my carto in the tank the lazy man's way. Just fill the tank, wrap it in kleenex, put it back in the tank box it came in, let it sit for a day or two and voila. Ready to go. :) I found my "style" lol.
