That looks great. Is it possible to get the Nyx edition with a matte switch instead of shined?

It is a small set but you ll be impressed from the vape they can give you...
Anima rules...:p

What's the lowest coil resistance I can take it down to, when using 14650 and 14500 batteries? I've gotten it down to 0.9 Ohms with no battery heat up, but am afraid to take it lower. I don't want to push these little batteries too hard, and I can't seem to find any information online about what their limits are.

this post has tons of information - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-discussion-safety-battery-info-warnings.html

basically, the amp discharge rate on the battery needs to be greater than the amp pull rate of the coil.

while the chart in the post covers 18XXX batteries, the same principles apply for all sizes. you'll be able to calculate the amp discharge from the battery and see what the limits are.

Hope that helps.

I understand these battery basics. What I'm asking, is if anyone knows what the discharge rates (both continuous and pulse), or at least the C rating of these 14XXX cells are. I have AW 14500, eFest 14500, and eFest 14650 cells, but can't seem to find much information about the discharge ratings online. The best I could find, was 3A continuous for the eFest 14500's, and 4A continuous for the AW 14500's. Can't find any information about the 14650's, and would love to know what the pulse ratings are as well, since I've surpassed the continuous ratings.

I just built a dual coil setup on my Anima at 0.7 ohms yesterday, and it fires up okay. Takes a bit of time to fire up, but it does so without the battery getting hot.

I've been building up vertical macro-(ish) coils in the Anima now. This seems to be the best configuration for the Anima due to the tight space. There really isn't much room to do horizontal, unless you remove one of the negative posts and use that space for a single horizontal coil. Dual vertical seems to be the best setup for me, using the largest pin that comes with the QVapes coiling jig.

I have a question regarding my Nemesis.

When i am vaping i notice sometimes i am getting shocked or zapped.

I finally figured why it keeps happening and i cannot understand why or what to do. When i fire my Nemesis and go to vape, If my finger/hand is touching or on the seam where the 2 battery tubes connect together, I will get a shock/zap.

This happens with any atomizer i use, Various different Ohms ranging from 1.6-0.80, I have tried various batteries from AW IMR 18650s to Sony VTC's. I keep my Nemesis clean all the time and everything is tightened.

I cannot understand why this is happening? Its making my Neme unvapable. Can anyone figure out why this would be happening?

I attached a pic of my Neme, Like i said, It happens right where the 2 tubes screw together.

make sure all threads are nice and clean. This happens when they are dirty. it also depends on how much you are pulling against your battery... if your build is 0.1 ohm, you may get a bite just because of the power that you are drawing.

Also, a little bit of noalox will help once its clean but, keep in mind, noalox will pick up pocket lint and other gunk if its in your pocket...

Apologies for wasting time with basics and generally being uninformative.

I do know that not everyone knows the information in that post and there are those that are just after large clouds without doing any research into what the batteries can handle thereby putting themselves at risk for a battery vent. I will always err on the side of caution when providing information on what a battery can handle... and ensure that basic information is present for whomever is asking.

Unfortunately, I dont know the pulse or continuous ratings of those 14650 batteries. Perhaps an email to the manufacturer would get you what you are looking for.

Best of luck.

From what I've been able to find about limitations of these two battery sizes, The AW 14500 is officially rated at 4A (which would be 6.6C), so your lowest build would 1.06ohms; however, most other sources claim "8C" (which would be 4.8A), so your lowest build would be 0.88ohms.

The Efest 14650 I've found conflicting information as well. Some sources claim 5C (4.8A, 0.88ohms), some sources claim 10C (9.5A, 0.44ohms). I try to keep my Anima builds around 0.9ohms (currently 0.88 dual-coil). These conflicts may be 'continuous' vs 'pulsed', so perhaps you could go much lower on the 14650 builds, but I notice a big voltage drop even at 0.9ohms - these batteries weren't really meant to handle that kind of current. Big difference between the 14650 and 18650 with the same build.

Katerina - I agree with a couple other people who posted about the 26650 Nemesis "Nyx", in that I would like a brushed button with polished locking ring instead. Will there be 26650 buttons available for separate purchase when the 26650 Nemesis launches this month?

Also, will the 30mm to 22mm airflow adapter ring be available at the same time? I'm planning to put my favorite dripper on the 26650 Nemesis - the Origen v2. With its brushed/polished mix, it would really look great on the Nyx, only with a brushed button.

Of course, we have no idea what hybrid atomizers you have planned... The Origen might not have a long turn on top of the Nemesis!

Will Nemesis magnets fit/work in the Nemesis 30 switch?

No the magnets are measured exactly for Nemesis
Nemesis 30 is much more heavier and tooks us long to make a spring that can hold without firing when standing and work with no problems as well...

I'm assuming you'll have extra parts for the Nemesis 30, when the demand is met on whole units. I'm looking for a polished switch someday (to match the polished 30mm to 22mm airflow adapter ring I got, which matches perfectly with the Origen v2. I got the full matte Nemesis 30, and like the matte locking ring, as when it's in use, it blends perfectly with the main tube and looks like a single piece.

Also, have you had any thoughts on making magnets for the Nemesis 30 switch? The springs are working fine - it's just something psychologically pleasing knowing there are magnets.

Very happy with the Nemesis 30 though. I'm not sure I'd be interested in a 30mm atty, as more internal air space = less vapor/flavor. The atty's that got it right (that I own) are the Origen v2 (with smaller air holes), the Anima (with very small chamber), and the Kayfun (also with a small chamber).

Just noticed some 5200MAh 26650 batteries (VapPower) on FastTech I might pick up (listed as authentic). They're limited to 20A continuous (presumably 40A pulse), but my sweet spot is 0.32ohms, which is 13A. They also have a 4200MAh version with 40A continuous for those chasing clouds. That bests the new Efest 32A continuous (64A pulse) 26650's, and blows away everyone's favorite Sony 25A continuous (50A pulse). But, 5200MAh? That should last a long time!

My new Nemesis 30 matte edition with Origen v2 and 22mm polished airflow adapter:

My Atmomixani collection from left to right:
Nemi mixed matte edition with brushed brass Anima
Nemesis mixed matte edition with new flat top cap and Kayfun v1
Nemesis VW edition with flat top cap (replaces clone, would have had the Origen v2, now on Nemesis 30)
Brass Nemesis (new engraving) with Dome and polished brass airflow control ring (needs polished brass drip tip)
Nemesis 30 with 22mm polished airflow adapter ring and Origen v2
