They're no better function-wise than any plain ol' carto tank. Only the tank is pyrex wrapped in metal, and the endcaps don't pop off. Also, the tank "kind of" locks and doesn't spin on its axis. That feature doesn't work well on my Provari, so I lift it up just a teeny, tiny bit for better air flow. I love mine!

Cleaning's easy. Fill with hot water and cap ends with thumb and finger. Shake vigorously. Repeat as necessary. Wash drip tip in usual manner.
