Wow! that's really sad to hear. I hope they did start settling their differences. And so sorry to hear how much pain she was in for years. I live in pain (not severe most of the time) everyday, and know what a toll it takes on the body and mind.

Take it day by day, and try to comfort and support your friend. It's all you can do.

Thank you so much Ed for the words of encouragement. I am staying the course and will be in touch today with her hubby. It is a very busy time for me at work with preparations and stuff for getting back on the ship but I have to be allowed time to deal with this as well.

I am so sorry to hear this my friend! Yes 48 is very young and the family must be devastated.

Good morning my Friend and thank you so much. It really is too young, but we knew for two years now that this was possible. The cause has yet to be identified but I am pretty sure it was the same thing that hospitalized her a few years back and that is a pulmonary embolism. She had one 2 years ago or so and once one hits I am pretty sure it made her very vulnerable to repeat occurrences.

Thank you so much my Friends, this has been a hell of a week the past 6 days. I did get good news today though in my Mid Term counseling. My Supervisors have noticed marked improvements in my performance, attitude and willingness to take on new and challenging tasks. I have just been chosen as my Duty sections watch bill coordinator so I will be writing the watch schedule out for my duty section this time around which is great because it is something I know how to manage very very well and have a lot of experience in doing.

The days are getting longer now as the time draws closer to going back on the ship. We had to clean out our offices today and tomorrow before we leave for the ship because we will not be coming back to them when we return. We will have some other office we will be placed in. I swear we are the ....... children of this command LMAO We get thrown all over the place. That is okay though we have adompted a new Motto:

"Semper Gumby" Means "Always Flexible"

Hopefully the Field Day cleaning session will go quickly today at the office. That is the last thing we have to do to get it ready to pass on to whoever will be taking it over. Just have to get ready to get back on the ship tomorrow. You are actually a day ahead of us right now. It is currently 5 am on Tuesday here. Gotta get going to work here in a minute.

Glad to hear you are getting in some R&R because you damn sure deserve it Brother. I did have a pretty good day. It was long and tiring but we got a lot done today. Tomorrow we start out bright and early on the ship so here's hoping for a fairly uneventful move aboard LOL.

The Admiral came up with a new juice flavor and I am absolutely sure you are gonna love it! It is Great stuff. I am not gonna put the flavor down here because I do not want lurkers to recreate it before I get the chance to share it with ya. We are seriously considering our own line of E Juice because we have come up with some EPIC flavor combinations recently and the folks that have tried them absolutely fell in love with em.

Had a pretty good day overall, I will backfill ya when I come up there after your return on some of the new frustrations they have bestowed on us. I am just taking it all in stride though, I only have 14 months left here at this place then I can go to another duty station and perhaps actually do my job rather than someone and EVERYONE else's jobs.

WoooHoo Awesome Brother.

Had a pretty good first duty day We had another ship pull in next to us so we got to stand down one of our watches so I did not have to stand my watch yesterday which gave me time to try and get qualified on another watch station that I do not normally have time to work on

I got my Order in yesterday Great stuff and super fast shipping as always Very very much appreciated since the guy I ordered the ego twist/Protank combo for was selected for Chief Petty Officer and he will definitely not have time to smoke cigarettes therefore a PV is right up his alley for a really quick nicotine fix t okeep him going during his training for the next six weeks LOL It is gonna be rough but it is always worth it in the end
