Yeah I am hoping they have the small space heater up there for us so we can at least stand near it for some warmth. If not it is only four hours so no big deal if it is a bit chili.

Good Morning my Friend, well it was not too overly bad up there last night. I think it was around 52 degrees at the coldest so not too bad at all. Good thing is that I got to leave this morning as soon as I turned over So that was a definite plus for a good Monday, as rare as they are

Absolutely my Friend, hopefully tomorrow I will find out what time my appointment is to have this here arm repaired It hurts so danged bad if they do not have an appointment for me tomorrow I am likely to just go to acute care on base and have them take care of it on the spot. It is driving me crazy not being able to hardly even lift a cup of coffee.

No luck today, they were understaffed where I ended up going and they shut down the acute care department so I had to get a referral from the doc now wait 24 to 48 hours for them to get it at dermatology then call and make an appointment just to get looked at so they can decide which route they want to take for fixing it. So another week or more of pain in the forecast for me. I told them that if it got much worse I was just going to go to the ER and have it removed that way because I am tired of hurting this much all the time.

Only 16 days and a wake up and I will be off this boat for a few months

Man that is definitely the truth my Friend, but as always I go to work every day with a smile on my face and come home the same way regardless of how frustrating things get, keeps the blood pressure low and getting upset doesn't do a darned bit of good LOL

It does get tense though as we approach the end of these four month periods on the ship because they are very arduous and a lot of work even if we are not going out to sea. Nerves get frayed and anxieties start to show. Hopefully when I call tomorrow they can get me an appointment for next week for the consult and perhaps my surgery the week after that. Then I know that for a short time anyways I will most likely be in more pain than I am in now but at least it will heal and then go away hopefully for good

Just got off the first watch and lemme tell ya, you hit that nail right on the head, it is cool, rough and nasty out there today. I got the mid watch tonight too so I am gonna have loads of fun with that LOL. Going to be wearing my Parka tonight LMAO
