Thanks bro,
Yeah, I am loving the Micro-coils too. Huge vapor production and lots of vapor! :)
It would definitely be good if this rain kept up for a while, but the forecasters are predicting 70 degrees and sunny by Monday. But we can use every little bit we are getting right now for sure.
I hope you have a great evening as well my friend,
J

LOL Me too, I rebuilt tonight because I screwed up the coils removing the cotton due to putting too much in it. Much better now :D I know, hopefully the rain we get will soak in really good and decrease the fire danger a bit though. I am hoping for another couple of systems to come through within the next few weeks or so.

Hope you rest well tonight my Friend and talk to ya tomorrow;
Sincerely;
Nate

Good Morning my Friend :D

Yes this build is a little more tightly packed on the coils, I added an extra wrap on each one to make up for the decreased circumference in order to maintain the ohms at a safe level.

It is raining a little bit here in some spots but the roads definitely do not look good for this trip. Glad I filled up the tank yesterday LMAO might be stuck in traffic for a while this morning :( I gotta take little man in to get that wire accross his teeth either fixed or removed because it popped loose again and it is irritating his cheek really bad.

Hope you have a great day today my Friend :D
Sincerely;
Nate

Thanks bro,
Busy day, but it's funny, the sun is popping in and out and it is treating to be a beautiful day. I don't trust it though. :lol:
I hope you get the little guys mouth fixed up.
J.

Good afternoon my Friend :D

Well the traffic was not too horrible, just the usual commute traffic wit some fender benders along te way that clogged things up a bit but nothing horrendous. We got little man all taken care of as far as the splint on his teeth. They went ahead and removed it completely so he is thrilled to death with that :D Now we have to get moving on the Endodontics front to make sure his front teeth get the appropriate treatment to make sure he keeps them and they stay alive :D

Just got back from picking up some organic cotton balls and some 28 gauge wire :D:D:D This stuff is amazing :D more wrapps and they are nice and strong too so that is indeed a great thing. The vape is clean and super full of vapor. The heat is spot on too so this micro setup with cotton is superb :D

Hope you are having a great day my Friend :D
Sincerely;
Nate

Hey bro,
So glad to hear you didn't get stuck in traffic! :) nice to know the little man got taken care of too.
Sounds like you have the whole Micro-coil set-up firing on all cylinders. After you get tired of that, you can always try going to the twisted 28 gauge. :lol: You can build some really long coils with that and still keep it it the safe zone.
I hope you have a great evening bud!

LMAO!! Man you read my mind too well Brother :D I picked up 500 feet of it for that very purpose so that I would have more than enough to experiment with :D I am sure that once I have perfected the micro coils that the twisted micro's will be next on my menu :D This should indeed be very fun :D

Hope you are having a great evening my Friend :D

I knew it! :lol:
It will come along, I am sure bro! :)
J.

LOL Yeah you know me well my Friend. I have a truly great coil and wick going right now, but my next build will definitely be twisted 28 later this weekend. I really really want to set up another great Genesis Atty at this point. I am missing the Genny Builds and I have a boatload of mesh still just waiting for a good Genny to use it on. I can hardly wait to explore the rope wicks :D

Dinner time for me, hope you are having a great evening my Friend :D
Sincerely;
Nate

I knew you would get there bro. I can only warn you, that twisted 28 is stiff as all get out. Make sure you put it a drill and twist the two wires until they snap. I think that gets you the most consistent ohmage (not a word, but it should be) of wire.
Good night and good luck bro. :)

Good Morning my Friend :D

LOL I agree there, even the 32 is a pain to twist without a drill :D I found a pretty easy way of twisting the wires with a drill and not having to go out and buy a vice to hold one end :D.

Hope you have a great Weekend as well my Friend:D

Morning bro! :)
Yeah, I have found a couple of ways, but one of the easiest is to chuck up an Allen Wrench it the drill. Twist the loose ends of a 3 or 4 foot piece of Kanthal by hand, then with a pair of pliers hold the ends and loop the middle of the length of Kanthal on the Allen Wrench.
I start the drill slowly then speed up and keep going until the loop end of the Kanthal on the Allen snaps and Wallah, your done. :)
It is pretty easy, quick and seems to get really consistent, tight twists.

Good evening my Friend :D

Yeppers, the Drill Snapped it off right perfect. Now to try and figure out how many wraps I will need to get a good safe dual coil setup on the nimbus :D This stuff looks very very beefy LOL Probably going to take a boatload of wraps for a dual coil with this stuff :D

Hope you are having a great evening my Friend :D

Thanks bro,
I think 5 wraps will get you in the ball park, if you are using dual coils, but you'll have to experiment a little.
J.

Well I got 8 wraps and even one coil is measuring at 0.7 ohms so a dual would be half that in ohms. I don't think I can fit that into the nimbus LOL but this coil would rock the heck out of a Genesis atty LMAO. I will let ya know once I put it into an atty, it will definitely have to be a single coil though and it is set up for a Genesis Atty too with the tails going in opposite directions. I am thinking if I use the 30 and twist it I might be able to swing a safe dual coil in the nimbus with the twisted wires, 28 is just too thick twisted for practical application in the nimbus unless of course I use a larger size drill bit to wrap it.......Hmmmmmmm Me thinks me shall try that tomorrow :D my fingertips are sore right now :D

LMAO :facepalm: I am hopeless I swear LOL

Ha, ha, ha Nate,
Yeah, I knew you would have fun with this. Remember, you cannot test the ohms on a micro-coil until it is well tempered because it shorts across the entire coil. As you heat it up several times the resistance will go up as it starts to oxidize itself. You can speed it up a bit by torching it, but I think gaping liquid help it insulate itself. It's not quite right until you see it heating in the middle and radiating to the edges. Then you have a true Micro-coil. :)

Oh yeah, I am having an absolute blast with this, I am like a kid in a candy store LOL I really need to get me a Krakken to really play with these properly in something other than a dripping atty. I have an absolute perfect wick for a Genny with a Micro Dual coil setup that is Always wet regardless of tilt or no tilt. Although with the Krakken I will definitely be experimenting with the wire rope that comes with it :D.

The coils on my Nimbus are heating from the center out evenly now so they must be absolutely perfect at this point. Now to get a good micro dual twisted setup to do the same :D

I think I am done fiddling for tonight though. I will be hitting it hard tomorrow though :D
Hope you are having a great evening my Friend and rest well Brother;
Sincerely;
Nate
