I've never made my own liquid before, but I wanted to try something simple. I was wanting to make a cinni-mint flavor e-liquid. I had a few questions. I was planning to use an unflavored pre-mixed liquid 75/25 pg/vg 36 mg nic. I wanted to know if flavoring alone would dilute the liquid enough to take it from 36mg to 24mg what I usually vape. I want to start mixing mixing it myself in 5 mil bottles due to my tendency to spill my e-liquid($8 worth last week :( ).

Also does anyone know any flavor other than cinnamon and mint that would be a good addition.

Well, to take 36 down to 24, you need to make the end product 33.3% something else. 10% flavoring is about as high as I'll ever go, so... no, you'll need to add pg and/or vg to it. It'd be way to strong flavor-wise.

To get to where you want, in a 10ml bottle use 6.6ml base, 1ml (total, if you're using more than one flavor) flavoring, which leaves 2.4ml to make up with plain pg or vg.

Some flavors are so strong, 10% can even be too high.

Welcome to DIY, trevor. Get ready to have a blast.

Here's my advice: do one flavor at a time before you start combining. Often, flavorings don't behave the way you hope or expect, especially when you start putting them together.

Using 5 mL bottles is a great idea, but 10's will make it easier without increasing the spill hazard a whole bunch.

And no, your 36mg base isn't likely to make it all the way down to 24mg, nor would you want it to just by adding flavors. You might consider getting 50/50 48mg and cutting it down with pure PG at 1:1, which will give you 75/25 @ 24mg.

From my experience, even more if you're starting like me, you will possibly end up having a juice with too much flavor and you can always dilute it using extra VG or PG base.

PG is easier to work and help on flavor. VG is thicker and more difficult to work in my opinion.

Get yourself a VG or PG bottle and it will definitely work for you.

To make things easy, I use e-liquid calculator software to do the math. I simply enter in the percentages of flavoring I want, the nic content of the liquids, the PG/VG ratio, etc, and it computes the amount needed for whatever amount I want to make.

eJuice Me Up - e-Juice e-Liquid Recipe Calculator

Also allows me to save my recipes for later use if the juice turns out good.
