Hi guys,

I want to buy a mutation x v4 for my first dripper and need help for building those coils. I want to build dual parrallel coils and I have a iPV3 Li with 18650 Aspire 40A 2500mah batteries. Which ga of wire, numbwr of wraps and diameter of coils do you suggest to me to have the perfect resistance for the better of both worlds (cloud chasing & flavour) ?

Not trying to be an @$$, but I highly highly doubt those are true 40 amp batteries. I would assume they are 20 amps. Mooch may have tested these already but so far, I believe the highest continuous drain batteries right now are 30 amps that's only the sony VTC4s, NOT the VTC5s (they are labelled as 30 amps but tests have proven they are only 20 amps).

Please, for your own safety, assume these are 20 amp batteries and build accordingly.

If you have questions, please ask, safety is very critical when it comes to this stuff.

P. S. I noticed you said your using an IPV device, that should keep you pretty safe. Just please don't use these batteries in mech mod with anything lower than a 0.21 ohm build.

Thanks for your support and on my batteries it says: "High discharge (20A/40A) I don't know what it means but this is it! Thanks for your last advice but I won't buy a mech mod soon its not in my plans, I just want a dripper to start building! I found youtube videos but do you know a dual coil build which has a low resistance? (Like you said like 0.2 or 0.3 ohms) with like khantal A1 24ga wire ?

I don't own a mutation x, but I would start off with 7.5 wraps around a 2.4mm screwdriver. That should be pretty close to 0.30 ohms using 24g kanthal A1. Fire that baby between 60 and 90 watts and you should get a pretty solid vape. To experiment with that build, try dropping a wrap, or adding a wrap next time. Also, when wicking, less is always more.

20A would be the power for 1 battery 40A would be the power for 2 batteries running in parallel. 20A will provide around 40 Watts and 2 will provide about 80 Watts running in parallel.
Stacked batteries, which I never advise to do, is a different animal.
Hope this helps.
