Is a PCC important to order at the start?

I just ordered a PCC. I never really needed one until this past weekend when I was in a pool tournament and had to ration the 3 batteries I had (2 x normal, 1 mega) They lasted, but it was close since the match lasted 3 hours and it was an hours drive away (5 hours total). I was a pack a day smoker, but never paid attention to how often my batteries need charging. I'm a desk jockey so I got a USB passthrough to plug into my PC while at work. I only need the batteries when I'm driving mostly.

Ok I have tried to look over some of the ones listed and I like the look of the blu the best although I am sure I should not go by looks. The Blu starter pack consists of

1 pack, holds 5 cartridges & charges your batteries on the go!
1 electronic cigarette battery & 1 spare battery
1 atomizer & 1 spare atomizer
1 wall charger & 1 USB charger
25 FREE cartridges in the strength of your choice
(equals over 150 cigarettes!)
30 day money back guarantee and one year warranty.

Does that sound like the stuff I need to start with or do I need more?

Also does the blu use juices and if so do I use the same cartridges it comes with or do they sell empty ones that I should use to refill?

Does anyone have any bad reviews of the Blu that I should be aware of?

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I get a good start on the stuff I will need.

I have a Blu. I promise you, you'll go through those cartridges very quickly. My 25 didn't last a week. You don't get nearly as many puffs as they claim. I used up the cartridges and just saved them so I could change the fillings and use e-juice. It's been working really well with the teabags. If you order the blu, you should order some juice around the same time (Blu doesn't sell any). It wouldn't hurt to get some extra atomizers too so you can put them on the refilled cartridges and throw them in the pack. Contrary to what I've read in alot of posts, I have not had any problems with my Blu. It's the one I carry around the most.

I would have to suggest the eGo. Cignot.com is a great place to get stuff from. They have amazing customer service, fast shipping, pretty good prices and they now carry the eGo.

The eGo uses the 510 atty but has much, much, much better battery life. And like some others have suggested you can get cartomizers for it too. I just ordered some turbo carto's from vapornine.com for a pretty good price.

For liquid you really can't go wrong with Tasty Vapor. And right now they have 4 different flavors for a low price of $10 dollars per 30ml. bottle.

I would also suggest checking out different flavors. I think we all went through the "trying to find my cigarette flavor" thing, but there really isn't a true cigarette flavor in my opinion. I truly enjoy vaping more than I did smoking.

I know there's alot of information to search through here and I wish you the best of luck!!!

Thanks, OIIIIO, maybe I don't need a PCC right away. Live in Michigan; no smoking in ANY public place as of May 1st -- not even e-cigs.

I read something about a 510 mega battery but couldn't find it on vaporking site; waiting for a callback. Should I order extra batteries with my starter kit?

Would I be better off ordering empty cartridges and filling them vs. using pre-filled cartridges?

How often do we need new atomizers? Thanks for any advice from anyone who can help.

My state has been smoke free for about two years. It sucked at first, but even as a smoker, I appreciated the better smelling bars. Even I never liked second hand smoke. I still believe that it should be up to the owners and not the government, but oh well, that's what I get for living where I do.

You'll eventually need to replace a battery so an extra wouldn't go wasted. Is it needed? I can't make that call. It would depend on how often or long you are away from a wall socket. Saturday was the only time I was worried about running out. If you sit by a computer all day like me, a passthrough is a worthwhile investment though. They are only about $15.

Filling your own carts is much better than pre-filled. You'll have a better selection and it's more economical in the long run. When a cart starts to run low, you'll notice reduced vapor and flavor. It still has juice, just not enough to wick to the top where the atomizer is. So instead of tossing it aside because you want that rich flavor you had 20 puffs ago, just put a couple of drops in to top it off and keep on vaping.

I can't speak on the life of an atomizer because I haven't replaced any and haven't needed to. I'm a month in on mine. From what I gather, it varies a lot depending on the use and if you clean them at all.

Ok, now I am leaning a little towards the 510 because alot of people seem to have one or started with one and seem to enjoy it.

Would this be an ok starter kit from cignot

Joye 510 NoBox with PCC - (White catridges will be Round tip)

Included in this kit is 2 complete Joye 510 cigarettes (2 atomizers and 2 batteries), 5 prefilled carts, 1 AC charger, 1 PCC in the color of your choosing and your choice of 2 accessories. Cartridges may be round or whistletip. If you have a preference, please specify in the comments.

if so what else would I need to purchase?

Also curious on the ordering part it says I can choose between auto and manual, which would be better or would it be best to do one of each?

Thanks again!

Can anybody suggest a few sample liquids from cignot? I hate not to get a few samples when my shipping is free. A little information that may be helpful, I HATE coffee, I love chocolate (not sure about smoking it though), I am ok with fruity tastes and dont think I really want a tobacco taste. I am getting cherry and nport with my 510 order. Also should I start out with the 26mg ones? I have been smoking regular newports.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you all for you feedback so far, it has been very helpful.

I like my 510 but the battery life (for me) isn't that much beyond the Blu. I'm all about the convenience over vapor production and the charging pack is wonderful. I go back and forth between my Blu and 510. If you want the smaller size and the charging pack, don't forget about Volcano and Revolver. I'm actually wishing I got the Revolver instead of the Blu. As for the fruit flavors, I was loving the peach (until I got my Tasty Vapor juice).

cignot's English Toffee is wonderful. I've also bought their spearmint, caramel and vanilla all were good. I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day and I use 18-26 nic. Maybe you should pick your flavor and buy a few of them in the small bottels at different nic levels. If it's too high you can always "dilute" it with PG from Wal Mart. Hope this helps :)

Ok I am back to being torn again, I really like the looks of the revolver and the pcc case. I was able to watch a video review that was posted on the forum and it looks pretty nice. Does anyone have any thoughts on the revolver? Going to look at the volcano now and hope that I dont like it otherwise I may never be able to make a decision.

Welcome Kimisue! I am too looking to purchase my first ecig. I was sold on Blue until I saw all the bad reviews. Volcano was next, but it too seems shaky. Revolver now... Darn those flashy cool looking PCC's! However, note that all 3 sites look fairly similar with similar products and similar reviews...

However, if you DO go with Volcano look at the prices carefully. You can put together a cheaper kit yourself.

Best of luck.

Yeah the reviews for the Blu turned me off of them, but now I am stuck between the joye 510 kit with the pcc case or the revolver with the pcc case. The only thing I dont like about the revolver is that the kit that comes with a manual (and an automatic) comes with Tobacco Red cartridges while the other kit that only comes with automatic comes with flavored cartridges which I would prefer. Oh why oh why does this have to be so hard. I just wanna order one and start already lol.

Also I can not tell if the black revolver case has the led screen on the front like the white one does. I really liked that feature as well.

Go with Cignot.com the 510. It has an outstanding reputation. For a starter kit the price is right too. Its true the batteries dont last all day like an ego does. However they do charge fast.
If you want one with a pcc all in one neat package go with the kr808 from value4life.com
it is a 2 piece system no mess , just screw on a cartridge and go. The cartridges can be refilled when they are empty.

The 2 piece sounds much easier and like something I would prefer but all the ones that are recommended seem to be the 3 piece and I would rather go off the recommendations of users then my own thoughts. How is the kr808 one? Is it easier to refill and use? Also I tried to go the the value4life site but I couldnt seem to find it. It kept redirecting me to some other site.

Ok I think you meant vapor4life and now I am there and searching around. Is the Vapor King a 2 or 3 piece and would anyone recommend it? I am just trying to narrow down some of the ones I have looked at. Thanks!

I think the more I learn the more confused I get lol.

Ok I know I am wishy washy lol but everytime someone recommends something I go look at it and it looks better then the last. Right now I am looking at the vapor king from vapor4life. Does anyone have any reviews, pros, or cons on that one? It appears to be a 2 piece and they seem to have a large varity of flavors that I could try in the cartomizers until I got comfortable doing the liquids. Also with it being a 2 piece is manual still better then automatic?

Sorry to ask so many questions hopefully soon I will make a decision and can join the rest of the group and switch from analogs.

Ok I just found the post with the 20% off coupon for v4l so would love to decide before tomorrow, so any input on the vapor king would be great.

Ok after alot of reading and getting a little antsy, I decided to buy the Vapor King. I got the kit that included:

VAPOR KING MANUAL PCC KIT. Kit include 2 manual batteries, 1 PCC (Portable Charging Case), 1 Manual USB Passthrough, 1 USB charger, 1 Standard Wall Charger, and 5 Cartomizers.

I also ordered a few other 5 packs of sampler cartomizers to try out some different flavors. I am scared to do the liquids as of now because I am not sure how hard it will be starting out.

Does that sound like enough to start off with or am I missing something important?

Again thank you all for all your feedback, I hope to be giving some great feedback in the next week or so.

If you want a 2 piece system the kit you got from V4L is a good start along with the samplers you said you ordered. I personally prefer my 3 piece system (DSE901) over the 2 piece but those sampler packs are great for trying new flavors easily. I got an adapter and ordered most of their sampler packs to easily try new flavors myself.

The cartomizers can be refilled (between 3 and a dozen times) so once you find tastes you like you can get liquid from V4L and save yourself a bit of money.
