I've been searching the web for over a week for an e-cig and came across this site a couple of days ago. Now I'm more confused than before on what to purchase. It's crazy I think I have something picked out, about to checkout but I get cold feet and close the screen...lol I'm completely overwhelmed but I have to stop smoking for health issues. I've tried everything, cold turkey, patches, gum and Chantix (caused vision loss & migraines). I've been smoking for 16 yrs, Marlboro Light 100's about a pack a day (sometimes less/more). I know I'm addicted to nicotine and the hand/mouth addiction. I smoke happy, mad, sad, but it's worse when I'm stressed. I'm not sure what would be the best system for me to purchase.
I don't care to have one that looks like a cig, I actually keep going back and forth from the Ego-T, Ego-C and ELips. But all the options are so confusing, which battery, juice types, accessories needed outside the kit and then the mods?????

From what I've read it doesn't matter what I purchase, everyones decides to get something else within a couple of weeks. I would like to avoid that and get something to last me several months to year.
Please I would love to have some suggestions on the best vendor to purchase from in USA and best PV for my needs that will get me off these nasty cigs.
I've never been on a forum before, hope I'm posting this right.
Thanks for any responses.

It sounds like you have a little anxiety over making the decision. I did too! I would suggest finding something that you "think" will work for you and just take the plunge. In a few weeks you'll be able to get additional accessories, juice etc...Believe it or not, the hardest part is waiting for the kit to arrive! I can barely wait now when I order juice and I have all the batteries and accessories I need.

It's exciting and there are many options that will work for you. It's less important to get the "perfect kit" to begin with because in 2 weeks you're opinion WILL change and you'll find yourself shopping around. Not because the kit you have doesn't work or you're not happy with it, but just because you want to try something else to get a different and possibly better experience.

Welcome to the forum!

I started with a $30 Ego- still using it and love it!

*I've bought many extra batteries and all sorts of accessories, but the basic ego or riva plus a box of boge cartomizers and about 30 ml of juice and you're in business. I bought 12 & 24 mg juice and figured I could mix them if I wanted to so I could increase/decrease the strength.

A kit like I've linked would be a good place to start eGo 2.5 Ohm Cartomizer Kit then go over to TopVapor USA E-Liquid and pick some flavors to try..the batteries in the kit I linked should last at least 6 months but probably over a year. You should also pick up at least another pack of Cartomizers or 2 because cartomizers only last so long..there are a lot to choose from..I suggest 2-2.5ohm..2.5 being the ones I use..I would stay from dual coils for now and low resistance (below 2ohm)..eGo or 510 cartomizers will work with those batteries. MadVapes has good prices customer service and shipping..good luck :)

From what I understand the battery is the most important part to buy. How do I know what accessories will fit with what down the line? Say if I purchase the Ego-T Type B, is this upgradeable? I think I get lost when hearing what upgrades are needed, like the bore cartomizers?
There are so many websites to choose from are there any favorites?
Thanks

Looks Like good advice to me. That is what my wife has been using for 6 months. She sees no reason to get anything else.
She uses Boge LR cartos with the Ego 900 mah batts. A fully charged battery usually lasts her all day.

I have about 10 mods. Lost track.

I'm not fond of the Ego-t but with the ego battery, you can use the tank, or cartomizers. You can use clearomizers, cartridge and atomizer, just the atomizer and drip. That's the good thing about the ego type PV they are very versatile.

You've probably heard about the Boge cartomizer. There is the low resistance 2.0, giving a warmer vape, or the 3.0 standard resistance carto. You get longer between chargers with the SR carto but I prefer the LR carto.

If you buy any eGo unless it says otherwise it should have a 510 connector and eGo threads on the outside..so it fits 510 and eGo cartomizers/atomizers..eGo-T is just a tank system that uses eGo batteries.

Thanks ChrispyCritter, I will check this out. Is there a huge difference between tanks and cartomizers or does it come down to personal preference?

Tanks are cartomizers they just have a tank around them to hold more juice or are just big tank cartomizers in the case with the eGo-T...

I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. If I purchased the ego 2.50 cartomizer kit, I would be able to purchase/upgrade to a tank style ego. Honestly I didn't look at the cartomzier cause the tank makes sense and is easy to understand. I need to research on how they work. Thanks

Just get a model with at least a 650 mAh battery like the eGo and you will be fine. I think the Kgo and E-Power 510 are better overall options with their 1000+ mAh batteries and they are true 3.7 volt batteries unlike the eGo 3.4 volt.

KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit

e-Power

The KGO's you linked are not in stock..the kit I linked from MadVapes are 900mah eGo's from Smok Tech. The E-Powers on that MadVapes page get pretty bad reviews.

Yes, you can purchase the cartomizer kit and also purchase the ego-t atty and tanks. Or you could buy the ego-T kit and also buy cartos. Then you can try both.

Yes, you can use the ego tank system. If you like it, you will be in a shrinking minority. Stick with the cartos to start. When you want to blow a few bucks, buy an ego tank and then you can PIF

Keep in mind the ego tank IS NOT the same as a carto tank, which have a huge and growing fan base.

EDIT: you can use carto tanks too
