Hi! I'm Lisa and this is my first day as a member (although I've lurking for a while!). After smoking for over 25 years, I gave up real cigs in February (woohoo almost 11 months!!). I live in a small town and we didn't have a very big selection so I started with the Mistic brand from our Pilot truckstop. I really liked it but after using it for about 5 months, it got to where they never had my favorite menthol in stock. Seems the supplier couldn't keep up with the demand then I started getting numerous dud carts. I was spending enough without throwing out duds! The price didn't seem too bad... around $15 for either a battery & 1 cart or a pack of 5 carts but found out I used my ecig even more than the analog! I then found out that Wal-Mart sold NJoys for about the same price so I started using those and have remained with them. But my usage seems to be steadily climbing instead of decreasing! I am completely addicted to vaping! It really doesn't matter the strength of the nicotine (could probably eliminate it at this point!) but can't do without the actual act of "smoking"! Anyway I am hoping to find a somewhat cheaper alternative. I need something that is compatible with the nJoy though because I know that I will often forget to order in time to come in before I run out so I need to have a local option! Plus right now I have 8 batteries (even though a full charge is steadily lasting less and less time!). So can someone help me with compatible carts for the Njoy (and mine is the regular njoy... I keep reading about a NPro and a King and have never heard of either) and where the cheapest place to purchase? I know I need to get some liquid as well. At some point during all this, I did order a different brands mini kit online and at that time ordered a bottle of their juice. I just tried it for the first time this week and have managed to refill some of my carts... not sure I like it though... it seems to kind of burn my tongue and the back of my throat. (It says Vapor King Menthol on the bottle) so I'd also like advice on some good juice. Since I have been up all night researching, I am going to try to get some sleep after I post this but I'll check back later tonight to see if I have any replies! Thanks in advance y'all! ;)

Goodejuice has good menthol flavors. I like the house Blend menthol Tobacco myself.

Mt Baker Vapors also has some good menthol.

Both vendors have fairly priced liquids. Both ship fast also.

I'm not familiar with the vaporizer units you have, so unless you want to replace them and want recommendations, I won't be of much help there.

Typed on my mobile. Please excuse typos.

Thanks DrA ... I'll definitely check those out! :)

Sorry to hear about the Mistic inventory issues. I initially quit smoking with Mistics from a truck stop as well. If you can get into ordering online, you will find it is going to be much cheaper than the cig-a-likes from those type of retail outlets. And, I bet you find something you like way better too.

Maybe there is a brick and mortar e-cig store near you?

I recently got some juice from Rawrvapor.com (I am not affiliated in anyway with them) and noticed they have a bottle called Angel's Tears fairly cheap which is just a menthol add-on. Drop 1-2 drops in your tank of whatever juice you like (or more depending on your tastes). I was originally going to try this myself but I found the menthol to be more of a camel crush type menthol then the menthol I liked in the Full Flavor Marlboro Menthols. But it may be your cup of tea, take it for what it's worth :)

I wish! Very small town! So it's pretty much Mistics from the truckstop or nJoys from Wal-Mart. And I may end up just completely ordering something different and just keeping my njoy batteries for when I mess up and don't order in time before I run out (I know me and it's bound to happen! lol) Right now I am just very overwhelmed by there being so much out there! So I'd like to start with finding some carts that will fit my njoy batteries and then I may investigate some others. And hopefully try more juices!

Since vaping is working to keep you off of cigarettes, maybe its time to switch to a brand of personal vaporizers that has higher quality gear, a higher selection of products, and with less compatibility issues with other equipment and brands. If there are no brick-and-mortar vape shops within driving distance to you, your option is limited to ordering online. This will turn out to be the least expensive option, anyway. You just need to plan your purchases for perishable goods (juice and juice carrying devices) several days in advance to allow for delivery time.

I can make recommendations of reputable online vendors, but first you need to also consider is it time for you to step up to more efficient vaping gear. The cigarette-size batteries that you were previously using get your foot in the door with quitting cigarettes and into vaping. But most people eventually get frustrated with needing to change batteries every 3-4 hours, or using the more expensive pre-filled cartridges. It's really not difficult to get bottled nicotine juice and fill blank juice carrying devices. In addition, there are other options available than cartridges to put on top of your batteries. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartomizers/343294-proper-terminology-carto-tank-what-lol.html#post7562212

The larger the battery, the better the vape. You don't have to jump in size to the advanced personal vaporizers (mods) that use replaceable batteries to get a better vaping experience. Just hopping to the next size up to the eGo class of batteries will open new doors of longer battery times between charges and even more options of juice delivery devices. And these batteries are not much bigger than the cigarette-sizes batteries, they are approximately the size of a large, long cigar. At the very least, try one of these for use at home if you believe you'd be self-conscious to use one outside the house.

Smokeless Image battery size comparisons.jpg Smokeless Image Volts and X2 batteries.

The three larger white batteries in the above image displaying size comparisons are eGo-class batteries. They will allow 6-14 hours of use between charges (depending upon the length of battery). Also in the image are two typically cigarette-size batteries alongside a cigarette.

In short, there are much better options to vaping and staying off of the cigarettes than the equipment that you were using. Are you ready to make that change?

My first recommendation for a reputable online vendor is Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Smokeless Image Electronic Cigarettes - The Future is in your hands. They offer the cigarette-size batteries, and should you decide to try the larger eGo class batteries, their Volt X2 batteries are offered also. They offer juice carrying devices that are compatible with both sized of batteries, including the pre-filled cartridges that you are already familiar with. When you are ready to fill your own delivery devices from bottled e-liquid, those are available, also.

They have two manufacturers of e-juice available, their own Volt Juice and the NicQuid line. Smokeless Image has their own forum here on ECF in the suppliers area. Here you can view video reviews and demos of their products or ask questions in the forum area to get answers from current users of the products. Smokeless Image

Should you decide to go with the more recommended eGo size batteries, I have put together a nice starters kit in this link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/365141-need-help-newbie-here.html#post8197330 I included images and links to the online vendors for people's convenience. In this link I also included two e-juice vendors that I recommend that also offer sampler packs to try new flavors in order to not waste money on larger bottles that you may not care for.

What ever you decide upon, think things out and decide what is best for YOUR situation. Good luck, and vape strong. :vapor:

The next step up from NJoy is probably an eGo style set up.

You'll probably get much better vapes from those. It's probably a 50-70 investment. If you want some options, let me know.

Sure thing DrA. I might decide to do that & just keep my njoy batteries for when I let myself run out of supplies. Thanks!
