You might try looking for, and they should have these, a stainless steel or titanium clapton coil Kanger SSOCC (Standard, Ni200 & Clapton) Replacement Heating Coils 5-Pack the 3rd one, should be a stainless steel Clapton coil. 0.5 ohm. Claptons trap more juice for better flavor. Stainless steel gives better flavor than kanthal or NiChrome. (Titanium is even better than stainless steel). I would suggest starting at LOW wattage and increasing it gradually. Another user mentioned 36w but that is for his taste. One thing about stainless steel.. it gets hot at a much higher temperature than kanthal but at a lower wattage. So where 45w might be fine with a kanthal coil, it could possibly cook a stainless steel coil. In theory mind you, I haven't used a coil since my 4th week of vaping. I started building my own on a kanger toptank mini, then switched to drippers and been using those ever since.

I'm rather fond of the kangertech kbox mini 75w and the toptank mini, comes as a starter kit or separately... and the kangertech protank 4. they both have great little rba's single for the toptank and dual for the pro, and you can both sub/supra ohm on them. I should mention between the two tanks the store bought premade coils are interchangeable and I never use less then a Clapton, fantastic flavour. I'm a tiny little (5') subohmer.

I thought of that, but after 2 year vaping? That seemed a bit long. I actually figured, the longer it was after quitting smoking, the better you would be able to taste things. My vapers tongue started in week 3 and lasted 3 weeks. I just changed to a more pronounced flavor. I think fruit explosion and ripple ice cream (which also go great together-- like caramel apple and pear).
Not really a matter of time. Some people vape one flavor so much that their taste buds become unable to taste that juice. This usually can be averted by changing flavors or vaping unflavored or rinsing your mouth out with water that you put some table salt into.

Yeah, i can see that, if you only used one juice. I never do. Usually I go with 2 or 3 types at any given time and switch several times a day. Wish I had known about the table salt though... It was like vaping tofu flavor for 3 weeks. LOL.

Good point. I was very fortunate as I decided to make my vaping in part a study of peeps rebuilding methods and approaches. I kept on vaping at different watts high-n-low and different styles, MTL-DL and diff wind objectives, density or diffusion.

Variety is the spice of life!

:) Good luck.

Thanks, I've done EVERYTHING I can think of in attempts to fix this (with the exception of the table salt thing, thank you, I'll be trying that). I drink so much to stay hydrated, I could possibly drown. I always have several tanks going with different flavors. I've played with wattage... I'm thinking lower ohm coils with a sub-ohm set-up may be beneficial?

Me personally, I'd find a good vape shop. Let (a knowledgeable) staff select a good flavor tank for me. Drop in a .5 and 1.2Ω premade alternatively. Try my own juice or one I def like from there. Dial up fav power on my own var mod (vary it, you might be surprised). Hang out. :) Use that as a barometer for everything I read here. Say, ask how what's suggested fares vs what you sampled. Think you'll be amazed how varied the answers.

Shanna, feel for ya. I've had three episodes of my own and it's frustrating. Have always found my way back vapin' unflavored vg. Discipline helps. Don't let up until all your fav's start workin' for ya again. I'm kinda leanin' towards the suspicion that too much of a good (bad) thing can spoil ya, sorta like SnS said.

Good luck. :)

Nickel (Ni) and Titanium (Ti) coils should never be used in Variable Voltage or Variable Wattage Mode (VV/VW).

Good ole table salt is also good for sore throats when you feel a cold coming on. I just heat the water to luke warm and gargle. Works wonders.

Ed C... how'd you like your Kangar Top Tank? I won't have a TC device until I get my Pico.... so stainless is out of the question? (Opposes, I'm thinking of the Ni200). Ok, great suggestions on changing the coils. I'm using Clapton coils now , I have 1.8 Kenenthal (sp?) Coils from Aspire Mini tanks too. My goal was ALWAYS changing the coil. Great options, thank you!

I don't have the Kanger.
SS can be used TC or VW, Ni and Ti can not, only TC.
I've heard good things about the Cleito, but you need at least 40 watts for any of its coils. The Atlantis EVO is very similar to the Cleito. The coils that come with it need 35 or 40 watts depending on which one you use. Neither of these are TC coils (both made of Kanthal), but the EVO can use any of the older Atlantis/Triton coils. The Cleito can only use Cleito coils.
