Hi everyone.
I'm not much of a smoker but came from a family that smoked so have "played" with cigarettes since I was small. I remember when I was a child pretending to smoke, and when my parents weren't around I would sneak into their pack and pretend to smoke. When I first lit a cigarette it was an astoundingly big disappointment, I couldn't imagine the appeal when I was a kid, the hot dirty smoke felt so foreign. Over the years I would repeat the process, and invariably be surprised how odd/bad cigarettes tasted - and how long the taste would linger in my mouth.
Well, as I became an adult, I would smoke from time to time. When I started going out with my husband, he told me I didn't smoke right. He said that I barely puffed and then blew the smoke out. I didn't see the difference. Well, I finally figured out what he was talking about and started to enjoy smoking. Thing was, I still didn't smoke much. I could easily go three weeks without smoking, then I might have three in a day, just to skip a week. Usually a pack lasts past their freshness for me.
I like to smoke once in awhile, and my brand is VS 120 menthol. I think I'm mostly into the "action" of smoking, more than the nicotine or the smoke. Sometimes I'll have a peppermint candy while I smoke, I like that flavor. I've noticed that since I don't smoke much, the best cigarettes are the first ones from the pack, after it's been a few weeks. Conversely, the last ones remind me of when I was a kid and how bad they really taste. I agree with the many posts I've seen where people like the smell of a fresh pack of cigarettes. Sometimes I've chosen to just "puff" on an unlit fresh cigarette for the flavor - though it doesn't deliver any real satisfaction that way.
What I'm curious about is what might be a good product for me. Is there something that can be recommended that a beginner can try out without a large investment? Are there products I should avoid? I'm so glad I didn't try any of those "Free Offers" I'd seen.
Too many questions... sorry about that.
