Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker, but never posted before. I recently got an mvp2 and I love it to death, but now out of nowhere the iclear 30 that came with it is stuck.

I was able to get part of the tank off, but the base is still stuck. Has anyone had this issue and managed to fix it without damaging the mvp? I'm so sad right now, I've only had it for 2 days. :(

Get a leatherman or a pair of pliers, gently (i stress gently) grasp the base of the iclear on the metal and twist. Sometimes if there is a bit of juice on the tank your fingers will slip. If you are worried about scratching the finish on the iclear, wrap electrical tape on the tips of the pliers. Make sure you dont twist by the plastic tank, you could break the tank.

If it wont come off w your hands I second the pliers w electrical tape. If it was a mech mod id suggest soaking.. but not w electronics! I bet something like wd40 or some bolt loosening agent would work.. but id try gently trying w pliers to 'break' the stuck part loose..

Make sure to not tighten too much in the future.

I can has tapatalked this.

I managed to fix it. It was weird, the base wasn't on that tight, and was spinning freely, but the center post wouldn't spin with the base. It looks like some juice leaked down and lubricated it so that somehow the center part got tightened onto the connector but loosened from the base itself. I fixed it with pliers and went back to my protank, the Iclear isn't broken but I don't trust it.

Hate that when that happens. Usually that happens after vaping for an extended period and then tighten it some when hot, then once cooled down she's locked down tight. When it happens to me, I just vape till she's good and hot, expanding the metal, and loosen while warm. Trying to force can frak it up bad.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll probably grab an adapter to prevent that from happening in the future. I haven't had it happen at all with my protank, probably because the airflow control valve add on makes it almost impossible to get stuck.

You probably wouldn't like the Iclear 30 anyway, being a Protank user. The 30 has such a tight draw, like trying to suck a boulder thru a Dairy Queen straw. I've got a couple of them that I've tried to ease that draw up, but nothing has worked. I can make my Protanks cloud and flavor like a dripper, but that 30....uggghhhh....

Exactly how it works for me!

Yeah the draw was very tight, but it was nice having the swiveling mouth piece and it allowed me to bring 2 flavors to work in case I got bored with one. Not a big deal though.
