New to the Woman's Room!

Kind of a wanna be. I am the middle one in the back row. The first woman on the left in the front row took the Women's National Single's Championship. The team placed 15th or 17th in the country. We took the Florida State Championship that year had had all expenses paid. Way too cool. My husband and I are in APA now and the team took first place this session so maybe we will get to go again. I think if we make it it will be trip #4 for us. Oh, and thank you about my babies. They are just too adorable all of them.

Hello! Since I joined and posted here I thought it would be polite to say hi and tell something about myself.

I'm a new member on the forums (as you can see on the post count, haha). My boyfriend bougth an e-cig and after that I started reading about them and found this forum. I absolutely want one too.

First few days I was just sucking in all the information, then I found the Women's Room. Been lurking here for few days now and MaryKay's questions got me to join you ladies and answer some.

Anyway, I'm from Finland, a mother of an adorable 3 year old girl (4 in the end of November). I've been smoking for 13 years and really want to quit. The e-cig looks like something that'll help me do that. And why not start my journey with a lovely bunch of girls. :)

Thanks for the welcome both of you. :)

The e-cigs seem to be quite unknown in Finland still, googling them gives very few results on Finnish pages.

The law about them. E-cigs are legal to sell in Finland but the liquids containing nicotine are not. BUT ordering the liquids from EU for personal use is legal. That'll limit my options with the liquids but i hope it won't be a problem. If the liquids are much cheaper to order fom outside EU I'll just have my boyfriend to order them and then send to me. :D He lives in Dublin.

Oh and advertising cigarettes and any cigarette copies is illegal here, so advertising e-cigs is illegal.

Terri, you are lovely and your birds are amazing! I love birds..they think I am going to kill them. I do too, but with kindness, I built my parakeets a pagoda with a flat feeding platform at the top. They had a tiny wading pool in the front of the pagoda in my bay window. I gave them a little tree to perch in (a real one). Who knew they would perch next to the window in the winter and die? They could have moved to the front of the tree. There is something to the whole birdbrain thing I think.
By the way..I am warm, but I shaved my legs..so not so fuzzy! (wait until winter..who shaves in the winter?)

Poldara, I take it you can buy snuss..it comes from Sweden. There is a post on the board about getting nic from snuss. You should be able to get P.G or V.G. from the druggist. Flavorings are not illegal anywhere, maybe you can DIY your own liquids!
We are all looking for workarounds in case they ban this stuff. So farthe only thing I see we can't make or use something else is the atomizer. But they are small and China should be able to slip them in the country!

I am glad you decided to join us. It's nice to have a place away from the serious stuff upstairs.

I'll have like 14-16 atty's and no fewer than 10 batts by the time my most recent shipment gets here (I HAD to buy a matte atty cause I goofed and bought a matte batt, turns out I really like the matte feel too.) part of this shipment includes a 901 white set with orange carts for my classic look days lol.

First, Women's Room is a nice place to talk about things, I'm glad i joined. :) It really is too serious upstairs but it's a good place to get information from.

About snuss. I've tried it and didn't like it. And it's illegal to sell it in Finland but again legal to buy from Sweden for personal use. I'm not sure could I order it online or something if I wanted to or would I actually have to go to Sweden to buy it.

PG and VG should be available, I'll just have to make sure I'm buying the right stuff. UK has online stores that ship anywhere in Europe though so at least at the moment I can get nicotine liquids. I've been thinking of buying high nic stuff and then mixing it to fit my needs after I get started with e-cigs. I so want to get started already...

Hey gals just wanted to introduce myself. I hope I am in the right place to do so. Anyway, I have been off the analogs for 74 days, and I am loving the ecigs. My only problem now is that I have developed another addiction besides nicotine. So I feel like I need to start out by saying, Hello, my name is WS23 and I am addicted to buying ecig stuff.

For those of you that didn't see my first post in the "life sux" thread, we are trying to adopt, and have been trying to start a family for over five years. The stress of fertility treatment, the heartbreaks of foster care, and now the frustration with adoption has brought us to our knees. Everything has pushed my husband and I in new directions (not sure which direction on most days). All of the stress from all of the above drove me to start smoking about two years ago, and I hated it. So I discovered the ecig one day while surfing the net, and gave it a shot. I havn't looked back since.

Ok - Welcome Ming, Slykchyk, Poldara, and WS23. ;)
I apologize if I missed anyone. It is not intentional.

Ming - I too have become a social outcast since joining the forum.

Ming & Slyk - sorry about your losses, but happy about your new loves!:D

WS23 - My name is Barenetted, and I am addicted to buying anything ecig related. Would that be an ecigoholic???8-o

Sue - I am also from the Northeast. I have a daughter who lives in Florida. I visit her once a year, alternating between Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. Thanksgiving is good, but kids riding their bicycles in the street while wearing shorts on Christmas Day - that is just not right!8-o I will never get used to it. I do love the snow and I love the change of 4 distinct seasons here.

Well, I don't love snow nor do I miss the 4 seasons but I do agree on Christmas in Florida not seeming like Christmas. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I sent most of my decorations home with my niece who lives in Kentucky. I do put up a few just so I don't become Grinch like. The craziest thing here, and I do love it, is the night of the golf cart parade. I live in a retirement community so it is tradition here to decorate the golf carts with lights for the annual parade. It's actually pretty cool. Yet, everytime I see lights on the palm trees, I think "HUH?". :D

NOT me! I was born in Denver lived in Va., Newfoundland and Kansas as a kid, Went home to florida and ended up in Cheyenne for 4 years as an adult..if I never see snow again except on T.V. I will be a happy woman!
I liked going swimming on Christmas, Santa in Burmuda shorts and cold drinks on the patio!
No kids cooped up in the house, no shoveling the drive so guests can get in and no shoving the dog out the window to go potty because the door is snowed in!
I broght my snow shovel south until somebody asked me what it was!

Hi Ladies!

Sorry, I could swear I stopped by to introduce myself earlier, but I must be getting old! LOL

Some of you may have seen my intorduction elsewhere on the boards...

My husband and I bought two starters from a booth at our state fair (Milwaukee, WI) last weekend. That got me to start researching, which ultimately brought me to these forums. Today our new 510's arrived! I'm still trying to get used to a quality PV and juice vs. cheapo carts!

As you may have noticed, when I get a new interest, I jump in with both feet and find out everything I can possible about it. I've also become pretty passionate about defending my new hobby from being banned just after I discovered it! LOL

Other quick facts - I'm married with 4 kids, 41 yrs old, a real estate consultant for 12 years and kind of a techie. I started smoking over 20 years ago (was in restaurants and then bartender for years) quitting on and off (mostly when I was pregnant) but always started up again. My husband is 28 and more of a hardcore smoker. I'm more worried about him, but also want to live to see our 2.5 year old daughter grow up!

So, what's the story behind this forum? How come the ladies needed a place to escape to? Inquiring minds want to know! LOL
