Currently Using the Kangertech EVOD Mega VV Unit. Using 1.8 coils it came with, just got the 1.5OHM Dual but same issue. Everything now tastes burnt. Switched coils (Then primed) ,Switched ejuice. All the same now just more Burnt then anything. THinking the Kangertech is not for me.

I Like Having lots of Flavor, but recently want to go to low Nicotine (6mg) using 12MG Now.

Flavors ive been using iarethe Jedi Slayer, Apple Pie (DSV). Usually burn with 2-3 open air holes and 3.6-4V. Even that i've been burning through coils quickly. But mind you if most things taste burnt quickly might be the unit and its only 3 weeks old.

I've been told to switch the unit out completely and go get an IStick 50W w Arctic .5OHM that I well get much better tastes, and vape and never look back as the Kangertech brand is a bad brand to use.

Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome.:toast: I haven't used your device, but it does seem the wick and coil is not getting properly primed before you're powering it. Those coils have a cotton wick so that'll burn lickety split if it doesn't have enough liquid. The only way to fix it is either to replace the coil head or rewick the coil if possible. I'd try a new coil and leave it go 5 to 10 minutes before firing it, after a few primer puffs, of course. Thicker liquid will take longer to seep in there also. Do you know the VG/PG ratio of your juice?

I really don't know why you're getting burnt coils. Perhaps the battery is not accurate and you need to turn down the power. You might try it on very low and see if you get the same results. Perhaps the coil isn't getting the juice it needs, prime and let it sit for a while, take a few pulls on it covering the airhole WITHOUT powering.

As to upograding. I love my Kanger Subtank Mini. It's very versatile, allowing replacing the factory coils of .5, 1.2, and also building on the deck. You really can't go wrong with this tank. You will need some power to use it, so I'd suggest a 50W mod. Kanger has a Subbox Kit for under $60, 50W with a Subtank Mini.

Good luck.

As per the Kanger Subbox Kit, Hopefully its better then this one. The Coils are cheap yes on the EVOD/EMOW, but burning them out quick without good Vape just nasty. Not sure the VG/PG Ratio on the juice my supplier doesnt list it (get them locally not online).

Now If I switch to the Subbox Kit and Keep this as a Backup/Seconardy (providing I can fix the vape issue) - What would be the best ratio PG/VG For this unit with Thicker juices (Baked good/Fruit Flavors) that I would get the best vape and still a slight burn.

I never liked kanger tanks until i tried the sub tank. I love that tank. The only time I get a burnt taste is when I forget to turn it back down after switching from my rda which I run at 60 w. You will need a device that will do 30 w to use it, though. I have never had a problem with mine. I mainly use it when I am driving, so it doesn't get too much use. I have had the same coil in it for months. As I said I never was a fan of kanger products, but they knocked it out of the park with the sub tank. Highly recommend...
