New to Vaping & also, caffeine juice?

I smoke hookah socially, and I 'smoked' cloves when I was a 'goth' teenager, and I'm a social smoker, but nothing else really.
My little sister (she isn't little, she's 25, but she's little compared to me) smoked like a chimney until she found out she was pregnant. She quit cold turkey but a year and a half after her son was born she was hankering for smoking and someone told her about ecigs. She never wants her son to grow up in a smokey home or smelling like an ash tray, so she bought an ecig 'smart smoke' brand? I haven't seen it posted on these forums, and the site for the product is barely informative. Sadly, the device was crap, it broke day 31 but only had a 30 day warranty, and the dealer only wanted to sell her a whole new one (from what I could tell the atomizer is what broke) - she is military family so she really loves places that offer military discount- and this smart smoke dealer was like a tupperware type almost door to door sales technique, but got her and others in on the base. None have been too happy with their product, but when she was visiting me I saw her using it (we were hookah-ing, and she was taking vape hits in between). She paid over $100 and only got 1 battery, and what appears to be a drip tip type thing, and no case and a wall charger only. Based on what I saw this is quite steep pricing.
I did research when she was complaining about it and found these forums, among others, as well as reviews and the loads and loads of different products, starter kids and mods out there- what an information overload- very glad this forum was around for my questions. I didn't even have to ask them- they'd been asked and I just read the answers. I am usually a lurker- I never join or post to forums, I just use them to find info and go on with my day... But this community is so helpful and so nice, so I am joining now.
My sister wanted a cigarette-styled device and from most people posting 510 is a way to go and some recommended volt for the not-too-frequent smokers. I looked around for a while but decided on the volt due to the info on the cartomizers and refilling them. I don't know that this will be an easy thing for her but even though I'm not a smoker I saw a post for vapedude and subsequently caffeine juice- I think I'd like to try. My sister is only visiting for a month so I figure I'd buy her the volt (got the pro starter for the pcc- seems battery issues are the bane of mini models) and if I can get some caffeine juice and give it a go I may just try it myself... I work with computers and most people I work with smoke already, and everyone into computers is usually pretty obsessed with caffeine.
Either way, I just ordered it off smokelessimage and I just joined this forum because of what seems like a large volt-based community where people discuss things and apparently there is some smokeless image person who is very active in the forums too? Either way seemed helpful.
Anyone tried the caffeine in the vapedude juice? There was one review on the vapedude site, but the person also got nicotine (and nicotine can give a boost also) so I'm curious on anyone's experience with the non-nic caffeine eJolt juices and if it was a coffee-like pick-me-up? Also, are there any other providers of caffeine ejuice? Any other thoughts?

It was really nice of you to do the research and buy an e-cig for your sister. The Volt is a good product, and I'm sure she will be a lot happier with it than the last e-cig she bought. Smokeless image has its own forum, and they are great at answering any questions.
I haven't tried the ejolt but from the reviews that I read, it sounded as if it was a less efficient method of getting caffeine. As a non-smoker, are you sure you want to start a new habit? I think the e-cig is a great product for smokers and is sure to be safer than cigarettes, but there is nothing to say that it's completely safe.

For me, I prefer my caffeine in my cup.

I do want to try some coffee flavored juices for sure, but it won't be the same as a freshly poured espresso or latte.

Just like no juice will ever perfectly match the flavor of 5,000 burning poisons "ingredients" in a cigarette. ;)

TBH, the idea of vaping something with actual caffeine in it sounds a bit hazardous.

eJOLT Caffeine Vape - 10mL

Hmmm...I've done some crazy stuff with caffeinated products before...like the 14-shot "Gravedigger" latte I had once...but I'd imagine that vaping caffeine would be a nearly instant hit eh?

Interesting...

I don't think if I did try it I'd actually start a huge habit lol. I don't usually stick to much, even addictions, I keep interest in things about 2 weeks before they bore me. I may just enjoy it while she is here and when she leaves that's it. I would get the non-nicotine caffeine juice if I did get it, which I may do to give it a try while she is here, it looks as though smokeless image already shipped, so they're fast.
I personally am not super sensitive to caffeine but I know people can get too much, but I would just want a perk in the morning. If I do end up trying it (caffeine without nicotine) I'll report back what it's like.
That said, I did used to smoke on long road trips, always flavored and never with the 'inhale'- which I can't do with anything but hookah because the smoke is too hot. If vapor is hot enough to burn my throat I probably wont do it, I hate having a sore throat or a cough, and without a nicotine or other addiction I doubt it'd be worth doing often. If anything it'd be like hookah, something done somewhat socially, so likely when my sister is in town and after that only if I feel a rare puff once a week is worth any investment.

Welcome to the forum and for looking out for your sister WTG.

I've tried the caffeen juice and I ended up feeling really crummy. I love my caffeen and abuse it on regular basis, but IMHO our bodies wernt meant to process it through our lungs like we ingest it. It just didn't sit well with me, same with all the vitamin additives some companies add to their juice. The big perk of vaping is that we aren't putting unnecessary chemicals and possible toxic chemicals into out lungs like with smoke. Again....just my oppnion :) welcome

On caffeine, I remember reading a story a while back about someone selling a caffeine vaporizer that included caffeine, chocolate flavored, but the FDA would not let the person sell it for some reason- I just looked it up, it is called the Aeroshot and apparently is allowed to be sold in the US now again (don't remember why it was blocked- maybe the claims made?) and there are apparently other flavors as well (raspberry, apple, etc). Anyway with that I may go that route for my caffeine needs, since I don't know how I'd like vaping myself.

I'd definitely go with the Volt for your sister. I think the general consensus is if you have to have a cig clone, that's the way to go. Although, she can still use her battery, she just has to get a new atty. They're like $8, you just have to know what kind of threading you have. Also a month sounds about right. Attys don't last for ever, maybe a couple months if you're lucky, but they can die in weeks, and that's normal.

As for you, if you wanna vape, be my guest. But since you don't smoke, I highly recommend you only use nicotine free juices. No reason to pick up an addiction lol.

I won't vape caffeine liquids; I drink way too much coffee as it is. I'd probably kill myself :toast:

I don't plan on vaping anything with nicotine, I don't really have time for an addiction lol. I know I get nicotine when I smoke hookah, but it never makes me crave it later or anything, and I really am not sure how much I technically get... It's always a social thing. I was never one for 'inhaling' when I 'smoked' as a teen anyway, I don't like my throat to burn, and hookah the smoke is cooled, but even then I can only take it so much. I really doubt I'd vape enough to need a device of my own, will likely be a social thing with my sister and I got her 2 batteries so if I want to try something while she's here we can vape together. In her time vaping with the device she has now she has cut back her nicotine intake significantly compared to her analog habit, so it may be something she does nic-free eventually, which would make full on quitting easier and withdrawal free.

Hmm, someone ought to make a juice with both. It'd be awesome to kick my cigarette and soda habit with 1 new habit.
with vapedude you can get it with or without nicotine, and there are a LOT of flavors to choose from (or flavorless if you mix your own or want to add the caffeine to juice you already use I suppose). You can get 24mg, 16mg, 11mg and 6mg nicotine added to the caffeine juice with an extra charge of 50 cents if it's the smaller bottle (not sure on larger one). I bought non nicotine caffeine eJolt juice but I noticed that the coupon code wouldn't work on it, even though the code is for any 'ejuice', so maybe ejolt is categorized differently by vapedudes or vapedudes was just having a glitch. The coupon code vapedudes shows up on their site right now and gives 40% off, but at least for me, it didn't work. :(
