i have been vaping now for about 2 weeks, and have not even had a interest in smoking a regular cig. I went with V4L system and I must say I am very pleased with it.

My question is for all you long time vapers out here.

Q: what kinds of side effect have you noticed from your long term use?

I hear stuff like dried out nasal passages and dry mouth. I have even heard stuff about pimples.

I am just curious as to what I should expect, I feel so much better off the regular cigs I do not want to go back.

Thanks everyone.

I can only speak for myself... but I have experienced none of the above symptoms (or issues) that you mentioned...
just pure vaping pleasure.. with pristine lungs... renewed vigor.. sense of taste & smell has returned.. no weight gain due to the nicotine I still get... ("I", however, no longer smell.. as in stink! lol)....

Nothing but "All GOOD" all the way for me! :vapor:

Thank you all for the links and your comments, this gives me a better idea what to expect. The one thing I have noticed is that I started on the 36mg carts and then went down to 24mg carts and find that I am vaping more now. I think I need to go back to the 36mg.

I havent had any symptoms other than dry mouth, and the normal analog withdrawel, which for smoking for 23 years, I expect to have :)

Thank again.

Hi Mabbo,

It sounds like you are moving foward in your effort to abandon cigarettes. This is a success!

I have experienced a dry throat, but find that filtered tap water helps to relieve the problem (plastic encased water might contribute to the problem). There have been no nasal issues. Pimples...I don't see an association between them and vaping.

I havent noticed any "Ill" side effects....

I went through the dry mouth thing the first week, and with some juices my tongue would feel like i had eaten too many sour skittles or too many salt n' vinegar chips.. (know that feeling)

Ive got some nerve damage in my hands from ..... well bad things. My hands "tremble" on a good day... sometimes for whatever reason, ive noticed an increase in my hands shaking (it gets kinda bad sometimes.. makes dripping tough), though i cannot attribute this to the vaping and not the lack of smoking..

On the positive side... my sense of smell has return (my co workers drive me ape .... when they go out to smoke and come back in and spray the office with whatever "frebreeze" to cover up their tobacco odor.. the slightest smells drive me crazy now.. i must identify awkward smells, like track it down, read the ingredients and identify what the hell that is....) Sense of taste has returned.. im finding foods taste way more intense than they used to.. and in fact its kinda curbed my portion sizes a bit.
My clothes dont stink anymore.. I dont stink anymore...

And of all the great benefits im seeing from stopping analogs.... and by far the least expected and most out of the blue benefit... my hair has gotten softer.. like silky soft.. im a guy.. i keep my hair pretty short 1/2 inch max and i cut it bi-weekly.. but yo.. my hair is like new born baby soft... is that weird?

Id love to see my acne clear up as ive head some ppl report... kinda sucks .... to be 30 years old and still have crappy skin..

I'm also new to vaping and have noticed a couple of side effects. My face is more oily than usual, I was shaking here and there for the first few days. Other than that the only side effects I have noticed is my sense of smell starting to return as well as my energy. I'm no doctor, but, I think the shaking was my body coming down from the additives in normal cigarettes, as far as the oily skin, I don't know. All in all I'd say that a few minor side effects from vaping is nothing compared to the 4000+ carcinogens that are in normal tobacco. Zits vs Cancer, I choose zits. lol
