Hi to all and first i must say that this site is amazing! I never even knew that there was a whole world of e cigs,so many different parts to go along with them, and so many vaping terms. I only knew about the brands that are being marketed like crazy. Ex.(green smoke, v2, safe cig). Well with that being said i think i found this site a tad too late. I have a safe cig that i ordered this past saturday and it is due to be here on monday. I think its safe to say i will be sending it right back upon its arrival!!
Through reading different posts i think i may settle on a Joye510, but i just ahve a few questions:
1. I see many different posts about its voltage. Is it a 5 volt or a 3.7?
2. Is it true that this ecig can use attys and cartomizers?
3. Does it have a throat hit similar to a regular smoke?( i was a marlboro light smoker, but do understand not to look for cig flavors, just curious about its strength)
4. Do these come in both manual and auto? (this is silly but can a manual be used without pressing the button?)
5. Check this link out! YouTube - ecigro's Channel
Im thinking about doing a setup like this; What are the parts used??? The large carto looks crazy!
Any cartos that are better then this/last longer??

I thank you for reading this and sorry for the noob questions
I greatly appreciate any and all answers!!! they are a huge help

http://www.ecigexpress.com/joye-510-c-13/joye-510-electronic-cigarette-p-2 is this what your looking for?
I'm 1 month in. It is tough sorting the good from the bad but if you go here.Forum Suppliers and look for a site with the Joye 510 you may find it cheaper still. I heard the batteries life is not that long on these older models. I got an ego 510 kit it is fatter then a cig but it's life is way longer. look for a pass through if you sit at a computer alot they will save you from charging batts too often. Best of luck, welcome to ECF and happy vaping...:D

The most popular and supported ecig threadings are the 510 line and the KR808D-1 line

510 is the most flexible, most accessories, most long-charge fat battery models, most adapters, most styles of blank cartomizers, few decent prefilled cartomizers

KR808D-1 (aka Vapor4Life) is more of a dedicated 2-piece and the most-supported 2-piece threading - lots of prefilled cartos available, lots of blanks cartos though maybe not as many types as 510, decent number of adapters for using it as a 3-piece if you want

Prefilled is just a small convenience - you need to add eliquid to all carts or cartos (more often to carts used with an atomizer than with cartomizers).

battery charge life
510 or KR8 shorty - 180mah (2 or maybe 3 hours of light to moderate vaping)
510 mega xl or KR8 standard - 280mah (60% more battery charge)
fat battery models (Ego, Riva 510 or PigCig, Elegant Easy for KR8) - 650mah and more

And I recommend MANUAL batteries for any ecig. It's easy to kill an auto battery with a juice leak and since most people end up liking to drip or use cartomizers, any juice leak would aim right for the drag sensor of an auto. And autos can turn on accidentally from wind or vibration. I also think manuals are less work.

Those are the most recommended models for new vapers

If you are a heavy smoker of full strength cigs or think you will get obsessed and start vaping constantly, then skip the slim ones and go to the Ego/Riva etc

510 and KR808d-1 are slightly thicker than a cigarette - about 9mm diameter. Lengths
510 w/ cartomizer - 100mm
510 w/ atty+cart - 110mm
KR8 shorty around the same length as above (I do not have a shorty with me to measure)
KR8 standard w/ carto - 120mm
510 mega xl w/ cartomizer - 128mm
510 mega xl w/ atty + cart 138mm

For all, I think dark colors look the slimmest but only the white batteries of the basic models are likely to have a red/orange LED. My black 510 has a blue LED and I have a lovely non-Joye midnight blue manual battery w/ blue LED from VaporLeaf.com. My Vapor4Life batteries have various color LEDs (it's sort of random)

Joye 510 - Cignot.com, LiteCigUSA.net (Cignot lets you know the LED color)
KR808D-1 - LiteCigUSA.net, VaporLeaf.com or in colors & better prefilled cartos at Vapor4Life.com
Riva/Ego - see Cignot.com and Liberty-Flights.com (here click 20% of on front page)
