Been a smoker for over thirty years and I'm tired of the whole analog thing
especially now with the fire safety cigs. What I want ,and can't get a clear answer
on,is an e-cig that looks,tastes,draws and kicks just like a Mboro.I mean
when I smoke it,I want to be fooled,or almost fooled, into thinking
that it's the real deal. The look, nicotine, feel, taste, everything.I don't want to look at it and think to myself that I'm smoking out of an ink pen.
I want to see a replica of a real analog cig.
I tried asking Totally Wicked but the reply was what juice to try.
Not much help there.
Besides they use pay-pal for ordering and I have zero luck with that service.
Please help with any suggestions and convert me into an ex analog smoker.
Thanks in advance for helpful replies.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I think every person you meet here is going to say they started out saying the exact same thing. There might be a flavor that's sort of close to what you want, but I haven't heard of an exact replica yet. The good news is that you have just walked into a mazerati store and you're asking us to point you toward the toyota corolla section. Many of us thought we knew what we were looking for and once we just jumped in and tried it what we found out was that this is so much better than what we ever wanted before! No, I'm not vaping "cherry cola" flavor or anything like that yet (although i tried rootbeer and it was pretty good) I'm still vaping on marlboro flavors (doesn't taste like marlboro) and other tobacco flavors and they're all better than the flavor I got from my old Camel Filters (25 years of them) so I'm happy anyway. You should get a KR808 or a 510 and jump in. You won't be disappointed - just be sure to get at least 18-24mg juice cause your not going to make the switch trying to vape 11mg juice. Good Luck!

Plus- the other thing I noticed is that quite a few of us here are so proud that we actually quit smoking after so many years and so excited about the amazing new product that made it possible that we end up wanting our PV to look nothing like a cigarette..we want it to scream, "I am not a cigarette! Look, ma, I'm NOT smoking!"

And the other reason is that the cigarette looking ones (white battery, tan "filter") don't actually tend to work at all --or they conk out after 30 minutes or so...too bad too because I think noobies often go that way and then end of soured on the whole experience.:nah:

I can only say, I hope you can get beyond the desire for a PV that LOOKs like a cigarette. The ones that do are severely lacking in all other aspects.
I'd add that a lot of us (not me) felt the same at the beginning, especially with regard to tasting like a "real" cigarette, but found out that we didn't actually like the taste of tobacco. There are a large number of tobacco flavors available, and a lot of people constantly searching for that perfect tobacco taste. Few seem satisfied ... it's a quest.

Good luck.

I was 'you' a year ago. I smoked Marlboro Red 100's for most of my 22 years of smoking.

With what I know now, I wouldn't want anything that looked like a cig or tasted like a cig. Before I started vaping I thought the flavors were weird. I wanted Marlboro. I prefer the flavors over tobacco now.

I also quit smoking analogs. I wouldn't want anyone to confuse my vaping with smoking now. I prefer for it to look nothing like a cig.

Exactly. One of my PVs is called the Screwdriver, because it kinda looks like one. They aren't cigarettes, and I see no point in trying to look like one. In fact, I really HATE the fact that so many of them have that silly tip end LED, in various colors, to simulate the lit end of a cigarette.

Still, even though it isn't important to me, I somewhat understand that to someone else it might be important that a PV resemble a cigarette. Until you come to grips with the reality that the ones that do, don't do the job well. I think I saw a white 510 somewhere. Not a 510 fan, so I'm not sure.

yeah, you can get a white 510 (white batt, white atty) so it looks like an all-white cigarette. that's a good starter PV too!:)

As many others will state, when I started vaping a few months ago, I wanted something that resembled an analog right down to the color of the LED on the end of the battery. My thought process was if I could get something that looked like a cigarette it would help give me that much more of an edge when quitting.

I ordered a KR808 kit with white batteries/orange LED, tan cartomizers to mimic the look of a traditional cigarette filter and as many tobacco flavor samplers as I could get my hands on.

Two weeks later, I couldn't care less if it resembled an analog. I wanted longer battery life, cartridges that held more juice, etc. You'll see that story told again and again on the forums. I bought many more e-cigs, most of which didn't remotely look like an analog. No one can tell you exactly what is going to work for you. Just do whatever you need to do in order to stop smoking cigarettes.

My current setup is the Tornado/eGo with a 510 atomizer, the frayed PTB mod in my cartridges, LiquidExpress Flue Cured when I want something tobacco-ish and various brands of butterscotch when I want something sweet. I haven't had a real cigarette in over two months.

Got to go with the previous comments. I have a black 510 that works great (looks a lot like those harsh clove cigs) but you can get them in all white. Just ordered a Silver Bullet though, and it looks a lot like a flash light & I couldn't care less. I haven't found a good Mbro flavor, but couldn't care less. Just pick up a 510 (they are cheap compared to a few packs) and try it out. See if it just cuts your analog use back. Try that before "forcing" yourself to make the jump. Many have quit that way. Me - I quit feeling the need to buy analogs after I got the 510....

I'm with everyone else on this.

You might feel like you need a PV that looks like a combustible.
But, once you get going with vaping, you'll find you'd rather your PV make a clear statement that you are not smoking.

A previous poster hit the nail on the head stating that not being a smoker becomes a point of pride.
You've conquered something rather nasty and distancing yourself from something that was squeezing the life out of you slowly becomes important.

Also, the attention you get from vaping is kind of nice.
It's kind of how people always used to think smoking looked cool. Well, now you look cooler than that with your high tech gadget.

A positive side effect of this is that every time you draw attention from a current smoker with your PV it's giving you an opportunity to introduce someone else to vaping and potentially saving their life.

None of the tobacco flavors I've tried really taste quite like tobacco. But, in all honesty, does tobacco taste all that amazing to begin with?

The choices you have with vaping on flavors is pretty much endless.
So, if you've grown to enjoy the taste of something as mediocre as tobacco, there's a 99.9% chance you can find a juice flavor that you'll absolutely love.

Vaping, by nature, just isn't quite the same as smoking.
However, once you give it a fair shake, you'll likely find that it's much more pleasant than smoking in every way that you could think of.

It'll become less about trying to trick yourself into not smoking and more about enjoying vaping for what it is.
Giving up combustibles just turns into more of a side effect of vaping than an objective or a battle.

If you still feel like you need to try to trick yourself a bit.
Go with a Joye 510 with a Norm Auto Battery.
510s are a good unit to start with. It won't be exactly like a combustible, but you might have to try to tell yourself it's a new brand and try to deal with it the best you can.

Best of luck to you!

Many, many thanks to all who have replied.I'm an OTR truck driver and don't get to log on very many times a week. Thanks for giving me a lot of advice to mull over and helping me to narrow down my search.I feel as though my analog day's are coming to a fast close and vaping is on the horizon.I just need something to relieve the everyday stress my job puts me through and just quitting analogs is out of the question.
I'll keep posting when I can as soon as my e-cigs arrive.
Thanks again.

I hope you aren't discouraged---I thought I wanted the same thing, and indeed bought e liquid to match my "marlboro" needs. Then I thought I would try some flavors--juicy peach is the one I love the most, watermelon should arrive tomorrow. It's nice to be able to address a sweet tooth as well as an addiction at the same time. LOL.
I doubt I will use the cig flavors anymore. I want a blueberry! It's relaxing and enjoyable to have my mouth taste like something other than an ashtray now! If you drive OTR, you can pick up e cigs at pilots in many states----but they aren't the same as the joye 510, my preferred e cig.

Erm... LOLWUT?

The KR808D is available in many colors, the options include the ability to have a white battery with a tan cartomizer that makes it look like a cigarette. How can you recommend the 808 in one post and immediately poopoo anything that that looks like what you just recommended in your next post?

I think we're letting some prejudices get out of hand. Yes, there are a lot of crappy e-cigs out there that look similar to a cigarette. Just because two models happen to appear the same at a glance doesn't mean anything. They are NOT all created equally.

Blanket statements condemning an entire group based upon a few bad examples is exactly why we're having legal issues. The FDA made a blanket judgment based on an incomplete study and now we're fighting a battle with politicians who think anything the FDA says is undeniable and accurate. I think we need to combat that sort of inaccuracy, not perpetuate it ourselves.

Personally, I'm very pleased with my 808 gear. I like that they're a familiar shape (that helps pacify my physical habit), I like that they're small, I love that I don't have to muck around with liquid during the day, and the battery life is quite good considering the size. Even with "premium" cartos that suck more juice out of the batteries when running they're not bad. The worst I ever got out of my standard-sized batteries was a hair over 4 hours, that's plenty of time for the PCC to bring a spare (dead) battery back up to full charge.

sorry, I looked at some kr808's and I guess I missed the one with the tan filter. Blanket statement retracted.
