Hi all! Me and the girlfriend have decided to go the route of ecigs. I ordered us the couples starter kit from V2, and assumed it was that simple. Just order the kit, then order cartridges as we need them. Now after looking here, I'm in over my head. Any help would be great.

I ordered us the normal size batteries (one automatic and one manual apiece), and the red full-flavored/nicotine/whatever cartridges. This information is yours to comment what you will.

Thanks ladies and gents!

Best of luck to you. Glad you chose to try vaping. :) Try out your kits. I've not tried those kits but I do know cig lookalikes do not have a long battery life and the throat hit isn't quite as strong. So if by chance you find you are not satisfied, just remember to try something else if you need to. A good ego type battery starter kit would be my recommendation :) But the V2 will help you get your feet wet and I did quit smoking cigs using a similar setup.

Howdy! I started with the v2 back in july and it worked. Within a week (maybe a week and a half) i was done with smoking. I've since moved up into an ego, than an ego twist and am now vaping at work (yes, i'm at work right now) on a lavatube. My last camel wass on july 28th and while i've since upgraded from my v2 it'll always hold a place in my heart for getting me off the camels.

Welcome to the ECF and keep on vaping!!

It took me about 2 weeks to graduate from the V2's, 100% through a friend's help. The "kit" with the provided cartridges just did not last long enough. My friend provide an ego c-twist (larger battery), some refillable cartridges and some extra juice. Amazing difference between the taste and the vapor quantity. With the help of this forum I have progressed from there.

We'll probably upgrade at a later date, but for now this will have to do. Its already ordered, and from what I've found it was the cheaper route...not the best, but cheaper.

I've read this V2 kit is much, much better than the Blu kit...and the Blu that my gf's uncle had made me cough it hit so hard lol... I'm thinking these should do us just fine to start. We both split a pack a day of cigarettes, so the battery should hold up for us...especially since we both will have 2 batteries a piece.

hydrate, back ups for your back ups, read these threads like your life depended on it, stay focused, failure is not an option.

What he said, lol! It's a journey & is overwhelming at the start, but you've done the hardest part, taking the first step. Don't worry about what system you start with - whatever you end up with (and you'll probably try many along the way), that first kit will either end up as a backup/special circumstance set up, or will be passed on to someone else to start their own journey. And in the meantime, you're experiencing life without dependence on analogs, learning as you go. Welcome!!

Wow over a $100, I hate to say this but you could have gotten a much better set up for the both of you for the same price with back ups. Thats alright i made the same mistake, i wish i had found this forum first because now have spent way over $300 to get where i am now and i still feel i do not have the right rig but i have been cig free for 5 months. I have only been on this forum a very short time.

Good luck and it only gets better, and ask all the question you need no matter if you think there are stupid or not we will try and help alll we can.

I love it here so far!

I'm really hoping we like the system we bought.. I'm sure down the road we'll do something different, but if we can get a year out of these...I'll be satisfied. Although it appears expensive to some of you, to us it seems cheap! Cigarettes are $7/pack here and for $10 we can get 5 cartos(if that's the correct lingo lol).

I do have a question though, are the cartos(?) refillable that come with V2? And if so, can I fill them with different juices(?lol) from other companies?

Don't know on those refillable or not but lasting a year that i know it won't, the battery well die well before a year. Sorry to tell you that, i have had some twist and spinners that made it about 3 months and then thats it. i know the ones i have, have a 300 recharge life cycle. Which means you can recharge them up to 300 times before they need to be replaced. Also the catro's you may get a month maybe a little more before those will have to be replaced.
