I'd really like some guidance on the ohms as I will be putting and order in tonight.

The Nova come with 3 heads, all different ohms. If you're going to get a VV set up, you can try all three and see what you like the bear. The lowest ohm head should be good at 3.5v to 4v. When you try the higher ohm heads, just bump up the voltage slowly until you are happy with the vape and flavor.

Welcome..Looks like your off to a good start. I agree with the others but I think the main thing is just stick with the Ego style battery (a mod or a twist) and build from there. They make everything for this platform/thread style. etc... so whatever battery or carto/tank setup you try they will all pretty much interchange. I think a good vv battery is a good stepping stone. I say this all the time but it's like food, just because someone likes a dish or the way its cooked doesn't mean you will. You have to experiment a little. Good luck!

The higher the ohm the higher voltage you can use. Higher settings generally bring out the flavor in the juice. When I switched to a Vmax VV, it made me feel as if I hadn't really tasted my juice with the ego. Although I thought I was satisfied with the ego, I was looking for better battery life and had no idea it would make so much difference in the taste.

I can tell you the new version of the VV V2 (Lavatube), that Crystal Clear Vapors sells is completely different than any prior versions. As far as I know he is the first one to have this version. It's not that I am partial to CCV, but I have seen the new version on his site and he has free shipping. My local vendor is E Cig : Joye eGo & eGo-T | Boge Leo | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes | eGo Tank and I like them a lot and am lucky enough to have them close and can stop in anytime for advice and supplies.

Look for the PBsardo review showing the difference between the two types. www.tasteyourjuice.com

Hi and welcome to ECF,

LR such as the 1.7 ohm was designed to give those of us using a 3.7 voltage device the same experience as someone using a 5 volt device.
If you are getting a twist really your best option is SR. One it is more forgiving when you go higher on your volts, and reality is it will last longer than a LR.

eGo Twist battery:
One could go with simple and small or big and complicated
Work, Travel, in a group or crowd, simple and small (ego 650mah)
Sitting around the house, big and complicated
The important thing is that it seams to be the 510 connection is the most common for atomizers
GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I have grown acoustomed to the Ego style manual 1300 mah
Dragonfly eCigs - Distributor of Joyetech 510-T, eGO-T, 510, eGo, and large variety of MOD

thread cover adapter:
Decoration and they are meny styles

some sort of tank system cart:
Some (not me) like the direct drip system
The larger the tank the less often you need to refill, but the larger the tank the stronger battery is needed
GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Your major decision is top coil or bottom coil (I prefer the bottom coil CE3)
CE3 Smokymizer - 5pc (2.8-3.1O) White
Dragonfly eCigs - Distributor of Joyetech 510-T, eGO-T, 510, eGo, and large variety of MOD

single coil low res atomizer (3.5-4.0v):
Should be incorporated in the tank system
Remember the higher voltage on your battery requires a higher ohm atty

VG smoke juice:
I mix my own so I can controll the Nic mg myself
I started at 36mg nic - as a 40 year smoker I needed a high dosage to give up tobacco
I am now down to 10mg

NancyR: I am actually thinking about getting the gripper. Would you say the same for that device?

Yes I would. As I understand it the gripper is vv, and yea you can use LR stuff on the lower end of the vv. However SR gives you more options, allowing you to use the upper ranges as well. Why spend the money on any VV if you are limiting yourself to a unregulated 3.7 devices range?

it did, alot.. very informative. I was not aware of top coil and bottom coil. Maybe dual coil has both?

As far as tanks, I was gonna pick up a few Vivi Nova's and a few eGo Stardust's..

I'm assuming the gripper with a 65mm 18650 battery will be enough to run them?

Is there anything better than a 65mm Smoktech IMR 2200mah 18650 battery that can power the gripper?

TheVaporPro- This vendor is not on the list, but I placed an order on Monday and received it on Wednesday morning. RY-4 was ordered and it is an excellent tobacco/vanilla/caramel vape. They claim that each order is freshly blended just prior to packing and shipping. Thinking that they are going to be my vendor of choice for the time being

re: I hear GotVapes.com and DiscountVapers.com are the best. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

From my research GotVapes.com does extensive research in the hardware field of vaping.
I have been to many websites and made many purchases, to date I have a box of past supplies and have come to the conclusion that someone else should do the testing. So I go to Gotvapes.com and look and listen, this has greatly reduced my cost facto

There is a guy on the Vmax thread who tested batteries extensively and the Efest and AW brand batteries were superior to other brands as far as battery life and power output. He's an electrical engineer so I couldn't presume to be able to offer a detailed explanation.

So here is my first order.. tell me if it looks right. Am I missing anything?
I'm hoping this order will last me a few months at least. Let me know.

It looks good but realize the Tr-001 charger is very slow. Pila or Xtar is the preferred charger. Also get at least 1 atomizer to test juices before committing a carto or clearo to a juice you may not like. Also realize with your tank you only have 1 carto. I would an extra pack (5 pack)
