I am planning on buying my first e-cig later today. I have tried smoking with actual cigs but I couldn't continue due to it upsetting my stomach and health problems. I am the type of person who needs some type of stress reliever. Cigs were my thing until I had to stop. I finally decided to try e-cigs. I am thinking about getting an Maxx e-cig. I know several people who have them and like them a lot. I don't know much about e-cigs so I am asking for any information you have to offer. I am so excited to see how this works out.

Hello, could you post a link to what you are thinking of buying. Looks like they sell cigalikes and ego style setups, just wondering which type you were thinking of.

I don't know US prices, but Maxx looks fairly uninspiring.
Other searches for Maxx Vapor Pro reveal an over-priced and outdated system. (some sort of 2011 atomizer system, similar to Totally Wicked, which is deeply unloved here in the UK).

I highly suggest you do some research here before you waste your money , cigalikes just aren't worth it and it looks like Maxx's other product , an Ego knockoff is highly over-priced , much better can be had for less money . But you're already one step ahead of the game , you found us . Welcome to ECF . :)

I would say that the most important is the liquid you buy. Whatever setup you have, if you don't like the liquid, then you're just not going to take to it. By saying the right liquid, I'm not referring only to nicotine levels, but flavor. It's so important!

I regularly use an itaste MVP2, (well worth looking into), but I still use an Ego sometimes, (even with CE4s), I find no problem with them. Never have. Egos are fine. Just get the right liquid.

All good advise here. My real recommendation: an MVP2 with either an EVOD or Protank.

If you do buy an Ego, you definitely want a back-up battery or two. Lastly, look up 'inhaling' here. A key factor that often gets overlooked by newbies.

The main part to understand is that cigarettes are easy. E-cigs take a little patience and a little work to get the best set up for you. But they are so worth the effort. I feel better at 40 with 50 some days smoke free than I ever felt at 30 with cigarettes. Juice is going to be the most important thing. I went through several before I found Ahlusion. I won't waste my money on anyone else now. Yes, its that good. Just know that everyone has an opinion but no one knows what you like. The best advice I can give you is that if you go with a tank and battery set up (not a cig a like), get a 1000 or 1300 variable voltage ego twist. It makes a huge difference on any tank and they are reasonably priced. Once you are hooked, you can upgrade.

I use Kangertech products. I have the protank mini, aerotank, t3s and protank II. I love them but it is all about preference.

All I can say is I LOVE my eGo-T! For it to be a ecig it's definitely doing the job I wanted to get the eGo-T for. I have been extremely stressed and since I have my ego it has helped some. I have had it for 3 days now and I have not had to charge or refill the tank. It's totally worth what I paid. How can you tell if an ego is a knock off? Thanks all for the help!

The one thing I'd suggest is to get something with variable voltage control, preferably with 0.1 increments, with a pass through, that way you can vape as you charge, my first device was a Vision spinner with variable voltage, while it was nice to adjust to my liking it was tough when the battery died, making me feel I needed nicotine even more, and pass through batteries use more reliable usb chargers, actually micro usb cables, as compared to a 510 dongle charger which isn't the most reliable or well made charger. If you decide not to get a pass through then get 2 batteries so you have something to vape while one is charging, and make sure you always have at least 1 extra coil for your tanks and enough juice to last through the night.
