I'm a new guy too, not a lot of experience with vaping gear but having some success.
I rejected the word quit in favor of the word control. You might smoke your last cig the day you start vaping or you might need more time to sort things out or, a few cigs a day might stick around indefinitely.
The day I started vaping my cigs delinced 75% to 4-5 per day, and stayed there. Call that 75% control. I decided to live with that while I sorted out the devices, liquids and habits I'd need to increase control. In the early weeks I couldn't tolerate the amount of nic I'd need in my system to rely entirely on vaping. The tobacco flavored liquids were a bad choice for me. The devices vary in the density of the vapor they can produce so the nic percentage depends a lot on the device, the coils, the power setting, etc. Appeasing the people I live with took some adjustments. (To minize the odor at home I went to a coffee flavor which they don't notice because they drink coffee.)
After 6 weeks I suspected the main reason for my couple of cigs a day was because I had them at hand so, finally, I allowed my cigs to run out. It's been three days since I've smoked a cig. If there was a cig in the house I'd smoke it but I feel no temptation to go buy some. Also, the day I ran out of cigs instead of buying more I stopping at a vape store and picking up a cool new toy, an Aspire Atlantis tank and a IVP 2S power supply to back up my N mini and spinner 2, same as you are waiting for.
After six weeks experience I enjoy vaping so backsliding back to tobacco-only seems very unlikely. I want 100% control sooner rather than later because I plan to be politically active on e-cig issues.
