HEY ALL!!! Hubby and I started vaping just over 2 weeks ago. So far, so good.....We both have KR808D-1's with the passthrough gear and are looking to up-grade. Those itty-bitty batteries are a pain and never seem to have enough power. The passthrough wall plug, car charger, and computer are cool though. Just annoying having to be connected to a cable all the time.

We know what we need....it's just finding something that is relyably and affordable as we are on a VERY tight budget.
First of all we need a batteries with some real staying charge and live a long time (not have to throw away after 2 weeks cause it won't hold a charge any more).
Second would be good Clearo's (Hubby keeps burning the lil Carts cause he can't tell when they are close to empty till they taste burnt!!! YUCK ). SR's are the ones that allow the batteries to live longer....Correct??
Third would have to be ease of use.....easy to fill, easy up-keep..so on and so forth.

I ordered some DIY juice mixing stuff from a shop in Bellingham, WA.....is taking 4EVER to get here. Did some research on that, guess I will be shopping closer to NY from now on and just paid the higher price. Thank goodness we still have some full carts or I would be in trouble. I thinking I will clean MY used cart's (have about 40 or so of them), mix me up some juice and see what makes us happy. In the mean time I will keep researching and hope to come across a thing or 2 that we can afford with-out compromising quality.

Wish me luck!!! All I really have right now is a MAJOR head-ache with no end in sight. If ya wanna add your 2cents...knock yourself out!! ANY assistance will be GREATLY appreciated.

Well the downside is that you will probably want to move away from the 808's. You will get the best bang for your buck from 510 threaded gear. That said, a good starting point is the eGo Twist or Spinner. You can get them as kits with a variety of delivery devices (clearos, cartos, etc..) If you already have liquid and just need better battery life you cannot beat this.
Katana Kit
If you want some variable voltage entry point you might check out.
eGo-c Twist Kit | SmokeyStick.comSmokeyStick.com
You could just a-la-carte the twists and clearos as well.

Edit... I just noticed the Kantana was sold out, you could contact to see when available.

Hi and welcome!

From the KR808's you probably want to go into the fat batts - I would recommend the Joyetech ego. These come in range from 600 mAh all the way up to 1300 mAh. 100 mAh = about an hour of battery life. However, in the real world it's much less. My first upgrade from an 808 was an eGo-C 900 mAh and that would last me a whole day while switching between 3.2 and 3.7 volts. That battery died and I exchanged it for a Vision Spinner 1300 mAh. The spinner is a variable voltage (vv) that allows me to adjust my voltage from 3.3 to 4.8 Volts. Then you can move into Advanced Personal Vaporizers (APV) These are the Vamo, Zmax, Provari..etc. They use Li-Ion batteries that you can take and charge separately. I have a Sigelei Zmax V2 because I wanted to adjust my wattage (vw). These get into the $60+ range with the Provari at about $160.00 (not including batteries and charger). I use my Vision spinner when I'm out and about as it's much more portable and I can carry it in my front pocket.

The Clearo's that I use and love and cherish are the Kanger T3 and MT3. The T3 is clear so you can see how much juice you have left. I use the T3 all the time and now use a cotton wick and make my own coil, but the replaceable heads are only 2 bucks. I started with CE4's and now only use the Kangers or my Rebuildable Atomizer (RBA). It's the AGA-T+

I get my juice from Tasty Vapor because it's down the street from my work office in Oakland, CA. Love them! If you're mixing, use a calculator so you can figure out your nic content: E-Juice / E-Liquid Calculator

Good luck!! Once you get the right fat battery for you, you won't be looking back :)

Hmmmmm..... $19.26 CE4 1100mAh Rechargeable Double Stem E-cigarette at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping ....Sounds pretty good. I think I will give them a try. Will be much easier on the pocket as well. THink I will get one for hubby 1st and get me one next month. I don't smoke nearly as much as he does. Maybe his set-up will get here just as I get the mix figured out for us. I spent about $30 on 36mg/115ml 50-PG/50-VG Nic, 120ml PG/VG 0mg Nic to weaken and 5 dif flavor con's so should be good for about a month..when it gets here. LOL Well, I really can't blame them. I did pay for basic shipping. Had no idea that area's USPS was known for being slow Live and learn.

Edited: OH!!! Are those Standard Resist Clearo's?? I could not tell from the page?

Am going to research it a bit. When you have little to spend you don't want to end up buying you main parts every few months. Cause If I gotta choose eating or vaping.....I think I would rather eat. Hubby, he's a whole other problem. Just want to keep his spirits up. So if it makes him happy....I will do all I can to see that it happens. I guess, worse comes to worse, I could stand to loose a few pounds. It's a simple matter of choosing the lesser of the 3 evils: Hubby stinking up the house, Can't walk around that well, with his smoke. (OR) Doing with-out for a bit to get him a good quality machine. (OR) Dealing with him as he grouches his way through with-draw. Scratch that last one...It's not even really an option at the moment. May be in a year or so, too much change is not a good idea right now.

Most of what I have been reading about the Spinners, Twists and Kanger T3 sounds pretty good. I am just trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row, so to speak. I know there could be a few problems along the way with trial and error. I simply want to staying as far away from the error parts as possible. LOL As I am sure everyone else does. TY for your in-put it all helps and points me in the right direction.

Just made my 1st batches of Juice!!! (I kinda feel like a mad alchemist!!) Hubby loves them. Made him a 12mg Nic of a MLB and another of a Turkish. He likes the Turkish best. I am either gonna haved to make it in small batches or order more 50/50 to cut if it has been sittin (Steeping) for a while. LOL Either way, I am thrilled!!!

Now to get him some good gear so he can vape to his hearts content!!
