I am on day 5 of quitting the habit..using chantix along with the nord rpm 40...curious about the 0.4 vs 0.6 coils that came with my kit and which to buy for refills. I used the 4 till today, thought I'd try the 6 to see the difference..using 10 wattage and gives decent hit and smoke..I am finding that I dont get the slight spitting w the 6....which I like. is this normal? or should I try lower wattage on the 4? thanks in advance.

Welcome. I hate to inform you your two quitting methods are working AGAINST each other, like two band aids stuck to each other and given to you to cover a wound. In fact, you should start wanting to vape less and kill yourself and other people MORE as time continues.

Chantix goes and sits in your acetylcholine (nicotinic receptors) and blocks the feeling of satiety and satisfaction from smoking. It takes time which is why they say don't try to quit completely 2 weeks before taking it, it takes time to build up, as well as mentioned "attempted and completed suicides/homicides" in your little physician's leaflet which is NOT a side effect I sort of long for in my drugs. The only reason it is still on the market is the FDA believes smokers should be punished for quitting. Really, read your little leaflet.

Pretty soon you may not want to vape at all or feel sick/weird if you do. Pick one or the other or if you need the inhale habit, well, start vaping 0 nic or you will be quite sorry.

Chantix has killed more people in various ways than vaping for sure. ASK your doc ABOUT these things if you don't believe me, and did he know you planned to switch to vaping NICOTINE? If so you need a new PCP. No offense it's just so depressing reading this crud at times.

The "mental unbalancing" side effect was known from early on. Honestly by the end (and I was a 3 ppd smoker) my docs would say, "Anna sorry to say it keep smoking you will live longer."

Good luck with what you decide but for the love of GOD pick ONE. Vaping saved me from COPD and nic is pretty benign.

Welcome to ECF.

Anna

thanks.... I have a lot to learn lol..i dont think the nord rpm allows me to adjust the airflow like the smok mini helmet did...i am, btw, using the lizard juice outlaw road 24mg nicotine ...maybe I'll try less mg
You are using 60PG 40VG freebase liquid at 24mg. Some folks will say they handle it alright, but I can only share my personal experience: For me personally anything above 18-20mg and above 50PG is too harsh. My girlfriends' smok nord pod uses the 0.6 coils you've mentioned, and it runs at 15W. The 0.4 coil, I imagine you'd want to run it even higher. I just had a look online, they even recommend using both at 25W. (although it's a personal preference of the reviewer)

If you want a smooth vape but want to retain the nicotine strength, go for nic salts. If I was to compare 20mg nic salts with 18mg freebase at 50/50 PG/VG, it would be like comparing... drinking a shot of vodka with a shot of milkshake :D I also noticed that I get my nicotine fix faster with salts, and it's a slightly different feeling. You should defo try yourself.

And you need a backup device in case of an emergency, even a cheap pen device or small pod with strong nic salts would do the job

i can second that salts are more satisfying. However, as they may not be available for very much longer, it might not be a good idea to become too attached to them.

40, 30... you mean 40PG 30PG? or you mean nicotine?
Leaking you have mentioned: from which device?

What is the battery size in the smok stick 80w you bought? 2000mah or 2800mah?

And: what coils are you using? s1, s2 and k4 would be the ones to look for to reduce power consumption in your tank

i was at 40 wattage ...i vary between 30 to 50.. the leaking was wit the nord... i bought a smok stik 80 an bought good viscosity juice not sure of the brand at the moment my only issue now is the battery life
Ok if it was with the nord then I might help. There are a few things that can greatly reduce the chances of Nord leaking. And it's not the juice.

1. don't fill the pod fully with juice, leave about 20% empty space.
2. when you refill the pod, wipe it down thoroughly around the hole where you fill juice. If it's wet around juice hole, the juice will get in between plastic and rubber seal, so the air might start to get in and it will ruin the negative pressure inside your pod tank- juice will start to leak from coil.
3: self-explanatory video, the best I found:

its an2800
2800mah is not bad. I saw even smaller 2000mah versions online. But this is not a device where battery will last you for over a day, you can't expect miracles, especially if you use it with a sub-ohm tank. Nord goes max to 15 watts, hence it will last you much longer even though the battery is smaller (1100mah), especially with the 1.4 ohm coil. 0.6 mah coil will drain the battery faster
