I just found this forum and wanted to say hi to everyone.
I got my first e-cigarette (the Janty classic kissbox model) two days ago, and so far am VERY impressed with it. I am (was?) a 2+ pack-a-day smoker of full-flavor cigarettes. I did a good bit of research online before deciding to order the Janty and try this whole 'vaporizing' thing for myself, but I never seriously considered the possibility that e-smoking could replace regular cigarettes. I mainly bought it with the idea of using it to supplement tobacco cigarettes and for when I'm out (like at movies, those KILL me, the gum does not work). However, after just two days I've found myself smoking only about 4-6 normal cigarettes each day, not out of any conscious effort to smoke less, but simply because I like puffing on the Janty that much. I am, of course, using high nicotine cartridges.
The taste is different than tobacco cigarettes, of course, and takes a little getting used to. I got some of Janty's "Camel" flavor, and will say that, while they're quite good, they don't taste like Camels, lol. The flavor actually reminds me of how unlit tobacco smells, none of the 'charred' taste of actual cigarettes. They also sent me apple and chocolate flavors, which I find very pleasant because there is just a hint of the flavor along with the tobacco taste (I don't like overly sweet stuff). I intend to continue using the Janty brand cartridges and liquid because I like it and trust that it won't damage my expensive atomizer (and if it does, it can't void my warranty). I am VERY impressed by the life span of the cartridges, and had my very first one 'die' while I was typing this (though I've been switching back and forth between different flavors). The atomizer puts off enough vapor to make it look like I'm smoking an actual cigarette and the vapor has enough 'kick' to it that a very large hit can actually make me cough (something no tobacco cigarette has done since I was 14). My only complaint is that the flavor doesn't 'linger' in my mouth like a tobacco cigarette would (some smokers complain about this but I personally like it).
Overall I am very impressed with the e-smoking experience. My mother tried my Janty and liked it so much she's ordered one for herself. I believe 'vaporizing' could easily be the future of 'smoking'.
