I can't find many eGo kits with standard size cartos in stock, but madvapes does have a kit with the whopper eGo sized dual coils - MadVapes 510 Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Kit

Once you have a kit like this, you can add a box of regular sized cartos (Boge LR or XL dual coils) of your choice and a cone (optional) and you'll have a lot to work with. A couple flavors of juice to start and you will get off to a good start.

There's lots of info on ECF on how to fill your cartos and top them off. A syringe isn't necessary, just drip slowly down the sides until mushy at the top.

So this is what I would I get with it?

Dual Coil Clear Mega XL Cartomizer

and then all I would need is juice and possibly a syringe?

The ones that come with the kit are these eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer, Flat Tip and they have a "skirt" that goes down past the 510 connection to look seamless on the eGo. The one you mention, as well as all the other 510 types, wil leave the eGo larger threads exposed, no big deal. If you want the larger ones you mention to look more integrated, you can use a "shorty" cone Silver eGo Shorty Cone but it's for appearance. Regular sized cartomizers use the standard eGo cone Black Ego Cone to look integrated, but again that's optional.

Juice is all that you'd need to complete this; a syringe is optional. I've always just dripped it in slowly.

Not sure if I will love the flat tip, I don't think the other kit you recommended is a dual coil cartomizer though. Any suggestion?

Personally I'd start with the cheaper Smoktek kit as those single coil cartos are low resistance (warmer and more vapor) and will work fine. You can later add longer (XL) dual coil cartomizers and you'll already have the cones so it'll look finished. The standard single coil cartomizers of that brand are popular so they should work fine. The wider (mega) cartomizers and tanks are mostly for higher volume vapers and even regular sized cartos should last you all day, let alone the XL ones. Heck, this is your first kit and you don't smoke a pack a day, so anything much bigger than a regular carto is overkill. I moved to dual coils after a number of months but my wife still uses single coil smaller cartos after a year and I'll use them too when they're handy. Single coils draw less on your battery so it lasts longer too. Adding a 510 drip tip to a regular cartomizer makes it easy to pop off to add liquid, so I'd get one of them too.

Juice is so subjective I don't know what to recommend at first glance. Most of us start with something that's supposed to be similar to the cigarettes we used to smoke - tobacco or menthol. Nothing really matches that taste but we find something fairly good then branch out - some to more complex tobacco or menthol flavors, some to fruit or dessert flavors.

That said, you want to stick with the thinner juices for your cartos, and the Alien Visions juice they sell is too thick to wick easily inside a cartomizer in my experience. You might want to get one or two of the tobacco flavors listed which are similar to what you've been smoking, just the smaller bottles. I'm sending you a private message about juices so I can lend you a hand to get started. Now that you've got enough posts you can do messages and post all over the place here - congratulations!

One thing that I would highly recommend is getting a good low resistance atomizer, especially if you are going to get juices that are not typical to your smoking style, like coffee. With an atomizer, you can try many different juices without having to worry that you put in a juice that you dont like and have to throw it out, like a cartomizer. When you find something that you know will be an all day vape then you can fill a carto and have it with you all day. Of course, always keep a small bottle of juice and a spare carto with you just in case. Atomizers saved me a lot of money starting out because I could taste all my juices before filing it in a carto potentially wasting the carto with a juice I couldnt stand.

Thanks for the info. So cartos should be exclusive to an individual flavor? I wish I had grabbed an atomizer when I placed my order. There is supposed to be a local store pretty close to me. Maybe they sell them.

Edit- It looks the kit actually comes with a couple atomizers, are you suggesting additional ones?

"2 eGo manual batteries 650mah/white LED, 10 sec. cutoff and 5-click On/Off features
2 Atomizer Cones
5 refillable cartomizers (low resistance, holds aprox. 1ml)
US wall charger/usb charger combo
Attractive gift box"

These kits usually come with small cartridges that you fill up with liquid and stick on your atomizer, like the ego t, except you can actually replace the atomizer part, which is pretty nice. It will work great for you when your trying out juices. Cartomizers are my preferred choice, especially boge cartomizer low resistance on an ego battery, but they have a polyfill that holds the juice inside, so if you dont like the juice you pretty much wasted the cartomizer.

I have one of these myself. There is a bit of a learning curve using a variable volt device, but if you take a look at Pbusardo s review of the lavatube on youtube, you'll know almost everything you need to know. I will tell you this.... Once you get the hang of using a variable voltage device, you will be hooked! Hopefully the batteries and charger you get is good quality. I use nothing but aw imr 18350s with my tube.Next step...provari!
